📢 Channel Update: Life, The Grind, and MUGEN Progress
Hey everyone! It’s been a minute since I last posted anything here, and I wanted to take a second to give you all a heads-up on why things have slowed down and what to expect moving forward.

Then vs. Now: The Reality Check
When I first started this channel (under the recommendation of my friend VerbalASE), I was in a very different place. I was working from home as a Mobile QA Tester, essentially managing a group of testers in India from here in the States. It was a good setup that allowed me to work on the channel and my "normal" job simultaneously.

As many of you know, I was laid off two years ago along with my entire office. Today, I’m working two jobs outside the house. Between those shifts and real life, I barely have time for my standard weekday videos, let alone the weekend requests.

Transparency on AI
Because my time is so limited, I’ve been leaning on AI to help keep the channel running. I use it for:

Creative Writing: Titles, descriptions, and those pre-fight dialogues.

Visuals: Sourcing or cleaning up PNGs and JPGs for characters who lack high-quality assets.

I have no shame in admitting this. My art skills are "mid" at best, I’m not a creative writer, and I don't have the budget to hire artists for immediate turnarounds. These tools allow me to keep the quality up when I’m short on hours.

The Request Queue & Monetization
To be blunt: requests are going to come out slowly. I’ve moved past the hope of getting this channel monetized; at this point, I’m doing this strictly for the fun of it and for the love of the community. If I get to a request, it’s because I’ve found a pocket of free time to make it happen.

🕹️ Roster Progress: The KOF Grind
I’m still trudging through the King of Fighters characters for my personal MUGEN roster. It is slow going, but I’ve finally made it to the letter "E." * Latest Addition: Elisabeth Blanctorche.

Anyway, thanks for hearing me ramble. It’s been a tough transition, but I’m still here and still messing with the engine when I can. Thanks for sticking around and supporting the channel!

Hey everyone! I’ve got a big update regarding the channel’s future. I’m starting a new job very soon, and unlike my previous WFH setup, this one is going to have me out of the house.

Regarding your request (me playing as Utsuho VS Lyndis): it is officially in progress! It’s proving to be a difficult battle to record. I can technically win, but right now, the only way to do it is by staying in the corner and zoning her out the entire time. Honestly? That makes for a boring video. I’m trying to find a way to make the fight actually entertaining to watch before I upload it!

📉 Let’s Talk Shop: Thumbnails & "Gooner Bait"
I saw a channel today that started only 8 months ago and already has 6K subs. Their secret? Super "gooner-baity," lewd thumbnails. While I’m far from a prude, it is a bit sad to see that’s what it takes for some to blow up so fast. I won't be going down that road, but I do have two questions for you guys:

Thumbnails: Do you prefer the classic MUGEN style (a clean screenshot from the start of the match), or am I wasting my time trying to cut out PNGs and JPGs for custom layouts?

Titles: Do those "MOST EPIC FIGHT EVER!!!" all-caps titles actually work on you? I’ve moved toward an "open loop" style to spark curiosity, but the "HIGH LEVEL SUPER AWESOME" claims just feel silly to me.

I’m open to any advice or useful criticism. MUGEN is a niche hobby, but I really enjoy it and want to make sure the content is actually hitting the mark for those of you who stick around.

I’ll be honest: I almost didn't upload this one. I decided to keep it in because it perfectly illustrates why I prefer NOT to do multi-character battles beyond a standard 2v2 simultaneous match.

Without giving too much away, let's just say Peter decides he’s done enough work for the day long before the field is actually clear. When the AI has to track that many opponents, things tend to break, and you'll see exactly what happens when a fighter "clocks out" early. Requested by @PrincessTwilightSparkle

Clash of Saiyan Evolutions: Goku 3.5 VS Goku & Goku | MUGEN request!

On the flip side, Sunday is pure, high-octane action! We’re diving deep into the different iterations of the legendary Saiyan. It’s a battle of speed, power, and different eras of Goku clashing in a mirror match that doesn't suffer from the technical hiccups of the previous day. 📢 Channel & Life Update: Taxes, Transitions, and the Weekend Lineup
Hey everyone! Just a quick check-in to let you all know I’m still here. If I’ve been a bit quiet, it’s because I’m currently buried under the "fun" of tax season—juggling quarterly business filings and yearly federal taxes.

Life & Business Update (A bit of a vent)
To be honest, the toy business hasn't been doing so hot lately. The swap meet just doesn't get the foot traffic it used to. It’s a bit soul-crushing to see a kid get genuinely excited about a toy in my shop, only for the parents to say "no" and then immediately drop money on fake eyelashes at the booth across from me. It is what it is, but it’s definitely frustrating.

The Silver Lining: There’s a chance things might come full circle soon. My wife is likely changing positions at her job (where we actually met almost 18 years ago!). Since she is the HR Manager, her move would resolve the conflict of interest that kept me from working there. The store manager is already on board to hire me back.

What this means for the channel: If I go back to the "wage slave" life, my free time is going to take a hit. I’m going to do my absolute best to keep the content flowing as usual, but only time will tell how the schedule might shift.

🛠️ Roster Building & Channel Updates
I’ve been staying busy behind the scenes with some deep-dive roster work and technical adjustments:

The KOF Alphabetical Grind
I'm still slogging through my "King of Fighters" roster organization in the tiny bit of free time I have. I’m going alphabetically and have finally reached Athena Asamiya. She’s such a versatile character that I’m working on incorporating several cool "arranged" versions of her alongside her classic, authentic movesets.

AI-Generated Discoveries
I’ve started experimenting with the AI character generator on the MUGEN Archive website. It’s definitely hit-or-miss, but I’ve managed to snag some really cool additions for my personal dream roster, including Raynor from StarCraft and Rikimaru from Tenchu.

Technical Shift: Moving Away from Mega-Simuls
I’m officially moving away from 3v3 and 4v4 simultaneous matches. While they sound cool on paper, they tend to crash or bug out constantly. Even when they do work, they often turn into a "seizure-inducing mess" where you can’t even tell what’s happening. I’d rather give you clean, high-quality 1v1 or 2v2 fights!

📝 A Quick Reminder on Requests

Starting tomorrow, January 5th, I’ll be releasing the first episode of a special 4-part series bringing the iconic Cartoon Beatbox Battle tournament by YouTuber and friend VerbalASE to life in MUGEN! This has been a massive labor of love, and I can't wait for you guys to see these characters trade blows instead of bars.

The Roadmap to the Championship:

Jan 5th: Part 1 – The Kickoff - The tournament begins! Setting the stage for the madness.

Jan 7th: Top 8 - The competition heats up as the elite eight face off.

🎊 WE DID IT! 1,000 SUBSCRIBERS! 🎊
The day has finally arrived! We officially hit the 1,000 subscriber milestone, and I couldn’t be more hyped.

I have to share a quick story: my 8-year-old son has been watching the sub count like a hawk since we hit 990 a couple of days ago. As soon as that number rolled over to 1K, he was so excited that he convinced my wife to take him to the store so he could buy me Mario Party Jamboree as a congratulations gift! It’s moments like that that make all the late-night editing and MUGEN tinkering worth it.

🎥 1K Celebration Series Coming Soon!
To mark this occasion properly, I’ve put together a special short series of videos. I recorded them earlier this week and am currently in the middle of editing them to make sure they're just right. Stay tuned—these celebration clashes are going to be something special!

🚀 Space King & MUGEN Dreams
On another note, I finally watched "Space King" for the first time. I’ve only seen the first episode so far, but it is absolutely hilarious—exactly my type of humor! It reminded me a lot of Dungeon Soup and the "Chaotic Good Barbarian" series.

Now I’m sitting here thinking... I need a Space King character and the Chaotic Good Barbarian for MUGEN! If anyone knows if these exist or is a creator looking for a project—let's make it happen!
