I haven’t posted many updated here lately and that’s because there’s been a lot going on in my personal life.
My main focus in these past months has been improving my diving skills and becoming a professional.

I started with my Dive master training in September and soon the certification followed. I have taken every chance to practice since then, especially in the weekends at the same diving centre I did my training. Now I am happy to say that I have officially started my Instructor training program.It will be roughly 2 weeks followed by 2 intense days of examination.

You may be wondering what’s with the Peaks of Europe. I still have a few videos filmed and ready to be edited. I really love those episodes and would love to share them here with you, but sadly in the last months life “got in the way” and once things settle a bit I will definitely be back here!Thank you again for your support!

Untraveled Roads

I cannot believe that one year ago I returned from one of the most amazing trips I did so far: the bikepacking Odyssey across Europe 🥹.
5 months and 7000km travelling slowly on 2 wheels around Europe and it feels like an eternity ago.

Some of the moments that flash in front of my eyes while writing these are
1. First flat tire in the first day, 20km before Bratislava (and struggling a bit with changing the tubes 😅)
2. The crazy steep roads of Slovenia (which I realised after were not that steep compared to Mt.Cika in Albania)
3. First time arriving at the sea 🤩🌊
4. The jackals of Croatia (and stolen cevapi from under my hammock)
5. 24 switchbacks in Kotor, Montenegro (plus some extra elevation after before my destination for the day)
6. The contrasts of Albania & impressive mountains
7. The tzatziki and nights sleeping on the beach in Greece
8. The cold nights cycling back along the Danube

There are so many more memories dear to me from those months and my feet are still itchy for the road sometimes.If you want to reminiscence or are curious about that adventure, here’s a playlist with all of my adventures from the Donkey, my beloved bike 🚴.

I can happily, finally say that I AM A DIVE MASTER now!!
I have waited for this moment for a long time and I am so happy it finally happened. It’a a bit crazy to think that only 1 year and a half ago I made my first steps into the underwater world and now I am stepping into the professional one. It feels it was ages ago that I was diving like a sea horse 🤣.

During this time I saw many dive centres, got my education from different instructors and I want to thank them all because they have contributed to growing my skills and reaching this personal milestone! 💙

I feel compelled to give an update about what's been going on in the last weeks since it's been rather quiet here.
First of all I want to thank everyone for hitting the 2000 subscribers mark. I am super grateful for everyone watching my videos and supporting me 🤗.

For the past 2 weeks I have been in Tenerife and continued my diving education. I was quite nervous for my diving guide course because of my breathing rate, but I accidentally stumbled upon ‪@flowstatedivers‬ during a fun dive and decided to onboard in their fundamentals workshop and that has helped me immensely. It is the perfect course that I could've taken to complement my other course and fix some of the issues that I wanted to perfect: trim, buoyancy and breathing.
I already started my course and I am blown away by the marine life here in Tenerife. So many creatures to observes and marvel at underwater. 2 days ago I had a huuge ray swim 10 centimetres in front of me 😍

I will still be making videos and miss a lot sharing with you some of the amazing moments I experienced in the beginning of the year in the balkans.

What's with the Peaks of Europe?

Recently I focused a lot on diving and I wanted to write something about the peaks, in case anyone is wondering if the project is still on the table or not.
The good news is, yes, it is. It just got delayed.

In the summer months it's been terribly hot and because of that and due to the fact that I am looking to become a more professional diver, I preferred to spend more time underwater rather than at the top of the mountains. Autumn is slowly coming to Europe and because of that I moved a bit further south, to the Canary islands where I will continue my diving education.

Later down the road I will start climbing mountains again. My boots are itching and I miss the roughness of the mountains and moving my body more vertical than horizontal.

How is diving in Rhodes? Really amazing!
Now I am in Vienna for a very short visit and tomorrow I am heading to Tenerife for meeting the ocean once again. I really miss the Atlantic and cannot wait to go underwater again, but today I am browsing through the pictures from the amazing greek island. I think it's my favourite island so far. This and Zakynthos. The people are so warm and welcoming that I have no words to describe how I felt being there. And the under water world is just stunning. I will miss the crystal clear waters, good visibility and warm temperatures.

There's been a while since I posted any new video, but it's not because I have been lazy, but rather dedicated my time to extending my scuba diving skills. I haven't forgotten about the Peaks of Europe either, but while battling the scorching heat of the south I took advantage of being close to the sea to prepare myself for something that's another dream of mine: becoming a diving professional. I think it was healthier than hiking in 40 degrees.
