the ZONE family has just recently expanded, and we started a new music channel focusing more on melodious music focused on anime/disney characters and sometimes original inspirations..

SuperMel and its first song - "A One Piece Fan Letter" is out and streaming... If you liked the One piece fan letter, expect more of that style music over here. I fell in love with writing this style of song, and would definitely do more in the future..

A loooong rant about A.I music from the creator of AMZ, GIZ - aka me ( subhakar )

Hello, I would like to start off by saying that I am getting irritated with the ai slop music, yes, I also use AI, but for every 1 song you hear, there are roughly 100 in the music garbage, 200-300 in the production garbage, I only release the fleshed out version ( as fleshed out as I can do ), in the start i also just randomly tried music creation with ai, and started throwing my lyrics hoping it will give me something awesome, and it did quite often, but the level for awesome has raised quite a bit now, as everyone is making music.

I respect other ai music creators, there are a few who are my favourites, but i only respect those that are continuously delivering great quality, I think brand becomes important here, as everyday I am seeing tons of ai music, and i don't know what to chose to listen to, i m clicking based on thumbnail, but its a 50-50 chance thats a good music, I don't want to miss out on hearing good music, but i also don't want to waste my time on garbage music with super cool looking thumbnail.

Why am I saying all this? To tell you that i don't do garbage music at all. I used to in the beginning days, ( will be honest about that ) but not now, let me explain my process, it might be of help to other ai music makers as well.

Core ideation - i use perplexity, gemini and other research tools to gather & summarise the anime/character information etc... this is basic, no human has that good a memory, and then the real deal starts, if i like the OST of the anime and feel it matches with character vibe, i start playing around with it even before i write lyrics.

Lyric writing - at this point i might/might not have a base music soundtrack, if i have i take inspiration for the rhythm structure based on the tune, just hum it, and you will get the tune, nothing complicated, and now according to the rhythm i start penning my lyrics, of course if there is no tune, i have more freedom. I usually create 3-4 different versions of lyrics mix mashed, as i would need them when playing out with actual music generation.

Production - well ai prompting, thats my secret sauce, not sharing, I also sing and record as well if you don't know, but thats just to make ai better understand the tone and emotion I want for the lyrics, the end voice you hear is definitely not mine, but the emotion 20-30% of the time is mine, but this gets quite exhaustive to find the right balance, the lyrics undergo several mutations at this step as well, by the end of production i roughly have close to 100 garbage songs for this 1 song i am making, if my luck is bad. 😅

Post-production - this is where it gets quite exhaustive, often i come across ai making mistakes, first i will have to fix that, if the lyrics are extremely complicated, no matter what i do I simply cant fix them, even with stem level editing, and then here is where i get the kicker, the improvisations i make at the stem editing, the cinematic drops, the layered drums, and many effects i add is what makes the final music so good, i agree i don't invest the same amount of effort in all music pieces, some i am passionate, some i am not.

WHY DID I EXPLAIN ALL THIS ?

if even after going through all this, you still felt like listening to my song/ watching my video is a waste of time,

PLEASE CALL IT OUT AS SLOP IN COMMENTS, i will take it down if 3 or more people say it is is slop,

also i might just ignore the above statement if i like that song too much 😜
