People all around the world want change, but sometimes it feels like we're changing in the wrong direction.

Social media has completely changed people. Yes, I'm on YouTube too. I'm on social media too. But there's a difference between expressing yourself and building an entirely fake personality just for attention.

Think about it. We're 13–14 years old. An age where we're supposed to be discovering our interests, learning, making mistakes, and growing. Yet so many teenagers are more worried about getting a jawline, looking rich, acting cold, or becoming "popular" than actually developing themselves.

And honestly, who convinced people that being toxic is attractive?

Being rude isn't confidence.
Being selfish isn't self-respect.
Being egoistic isn't strength.
And being emotionally unavailable isn't maturity.

Some people treat toxicity like it's a personality trait. It's not. It just shows who you are when no one's forcing you to be kind.

Another thing I don't understand is why people are so desperate to be someone else. Every day I see people hating their own culture, their own country, their own identity because they think another nationality or lifestyle is automatically better. Since when did appreciating another culture mean disrespecting your own?

And don't even get me started on beauty standards.

Who exactly decided what's beautiful and what's not?

One month it's clear skin.
The next month it's a sharp jawline.
Then it's a specific body type.
Then it's a different hair texture.

The standards keep changing, but people keep chasing them as if they'll finally be accepted. The truth is, no trend can decide your worth.

What's even stranger is how being "double-faced" has become normal. People proudly say, "I have different personalities for different people" as if that's something to celebrate. Of course, everyone acts slightly differently depending on the situation. That's normal. But completely changing who you are just to fit in? That's not adaptability. That's losing yourself.

People are addicted to validation now. Likes decide confidence. Views decide self-worth. Followers decide popularity. A single comment can ruin someone's day.

We're becoming more connected online and somehow more disconnected from ourselves.

And yes, I'll probably get hate for saying this.

But if being real gets hate and being fake gets applause, I'd rather take the hate.

And ofcourse this is not to seek attention
I am not a clout chaser !
I get attention where I need !
