Federica Rubino, in arte Rubino, è una cantautrice classe 1991 originaria di Trani. Chitarrista elettrica fin da giovane, ha militato in diverse band locali prima di intraprendere, nel 2022, un percorso solista sotto il nome RUBINO, dando vita a un progetto musicale intimo e personale. Rubino si distingue per un folk elettrico che richiama le sonorità di Carmen Consoli, PJ Harvey e Cristina Donà. Nel 2022 ha pubblicato un EP omonimo, incentrato sulla scrittura e sull'importanza delle parole, che si fondono armoniosamente con la musica, evitando banalità e retorica. Il progetto nasce dal bisogno di esprimere la propria interiorità in modo autentico, creando un paesaggio sonoro che va oltre il semplice giro di accordi e interpreta il disordine interiore. La cantautrice esplora temi profondi nei suoi brani, come la difficoltà di comprendersi e ascoltarsi in un mondo dominato da paure e ansie, ma anche la forza di non arrendersi di fronte al senso di devastazione e smarrimento.
