Profet Mohammed SAW story...

The life of Muhammad (peace be upon him) is one of the most influential and transformative stories in human history. Born in the year 570 CE in the city of Mecca, in present-day Saudi Arabia, he belonged to the respected tribe of Quraysh. His father, Abdullah, passed away before he was born, and his mother, Amina, died when he was only six years old. Orphaned at a young age, he was first cared for by his grandfather Abdul Muttalib, and later by his uncle Abu Talib.

As a young man, Muhammad (peace be upon him) became known for his honesty and integrity. The people of Mecca called him Al-Amin, meaning “the trustworthy.” He worked as a merchant and gained a reputation for fairness in trade. At the age of 25, he married Khadijah, a noble and wealthy widow who had been impressed by his character. Their marriage was one of deep love and support, and she would later become the first person to believe in his prophethood.

Muhammad (peace be upon him) often retreated to the Cave of Hira in the mountains outside Mecca to meditate and reflect. At the age of 40, during one of these retreats, he received the first revelation from Allah through the Angel Jibreel (Gabriel). These revelations would continue for 23 years and later be compiled into the Holy Qur’an, the sacred scripture of Islam.

When he began preaching the message of monotheism—calling people to worship one God (Allah) and abandon idol worship—he faced strong opposition from many leaders of Mecca. His followers were mocked, persecuted, and even tortured. Despite this, he remained patient and steadfast. Some of his companions migrated to Abyssinia (modern-day Ethiopia) to escape persecution.

After years of hardship, Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his followers migrated from Mecca to the city of Yathrib in 622 CE, an event known as the Hijrah. Yathrib later became known as Medina. This migration marks the beginning of the Islamic calendar. In Medina, he established a community based on justice, brotherhood, and faith. He served not only as a spiritual leader but also as a statesman and judge, uniting various tribes under a constitution that promoted coexistence.

Over time, several conflicts occurred between the Muslims of Medina and the Quraysh of Mecca. Despite these challenges, Muhammad (peace be upon him) emphasized mercy and forgiveness. In 630 CE, he and his followers peacefully entered Mecca after years of conflict. Rather than seeking revenge, he forgave many of his former enemies. The idols in the Kaaba were removed, restoring it to the worship of one God.

Two years later, in 632 CE, after delivering his Farewell Sermon—where he emphasized equality, justice, and the rights of women—Muhammad (peace be upon him) passed away in Medina at the age of 63. His message, however, continued to spread across the world.

Today, more than a billion Muslims regard him as the final prophet and strive to follow his example of compassion, humility, patience, and devotion to God. His life remains a model of moral character and leadership for many around the globe.
