🇮🇪☘️ Driving the Wild Atlantic Way in a Motorhome
I've just finished two guided group trips in Ireland with the Wandering Motorhome Club. One of the biggest questions I got before the trips was "Will my motorhome fit?" Don't worry- I drove the entire 2,500km route in my 6.8m van with no problems — coaches do it all the time. 🚐✨
Top tips:
🌧 Pack for all weather — sun, rain, hail & wind can hit in one day.
🛣 Stick to main roads, follow WAW signs & avoid roads like the Connor Pass (2-ton limit).
🚐 Use apps like Park4Night / SearchforSites for aires & overnight stops.
☀️ Summer = BUSY! Book early, start driving early & always have a backup parking plan.
🏞 Give yourself plenty of time — at least 4 weeks if you can
Bottom line: The WAW is motorhome-friendly — and more and more places to stay overnight are popping up. 🍀

👉 Do you know this?
One of the things I enjoy about having a motorhoming community' is being able to jump in and answer your questions. It's the main reason the Wandering Motorhome Club started- so that people had a place to visit to get help and advice when they need it.
I managed to grab a few minutes to answer some emails I've received from people on my email list (like you!)
It's a great range of topics, including Europe updates, LPG, motorhome power systems and several other topics. I hope you find it helpful.

🚐 It’s almost summer! Where are you heading? ☀️
Summer is one of my favourite seasons. I love waking up somewhere new, enjoying some sunshine, and seeing what I can find out on the road in my motorhome. I much prefer mountains and wide open skies to cities or lots of people.
How about you? If you could only pick ONE, which would you choose?

🇫🇷 Motorhoming in France: 7 things I didn't expect
When you decide to head across the Channel, you are aware of certain things.
- You know you'll have to drive on the other side
- You know there are some items of kit and paperwork you have to carry with you (grab the checklist here)
- You may also be vaguely aware of things like tolls, clean air zones and dog paperwork.
But, no matter how much research you do, there are some things that may still surprise you. Things you don't often hear about.
In this video, I share 7 things I didn't expect on my first trip to France (and how to handle them!)

🚐 What breakdown cover do you use for your motorhome?
After spending SEVEN HOURS on the side of the M1 last month (yep, really 😩) I’ve realised how unreliable many of the UK’s breakdown services are when it comes to motorhomes.
So many people have contacted me and shared similar experiences—not being rescued from dangerous situations in a timely manner because they had a motorhome over 21ft 😬
So I’m curious…
⁉️ What breakdown cover do you use, and have you ever had to use it?
Would you recommend it, or would you avoid it next time?
I’m definitely looking to switch to something better, so any real experiences or recommendations would be really helpful 🙏🏻

🎉 Off-grid Van life just got SO much easier!
If you've ever struggled with drying your hair on a motorhome trip — especially when off-grid or using aires, this week's video is for you.
After years of trying and hating 12v hair dryers, I've found some travel hair dryers which ACTUALLY work.
In this video, I'm testing & reviewing three which all work off-grid - perfect for festivals, shows, weekend getaways or just making yourself look good before a night out.
Whether you're a female van lifer, love being off-grid in your camper or just hate relying on campsite facilities, these might be the small upgrade that makes a big difference to your motorhome life.

🍳 COOKING ON THE ROAD 🚐
I’m calling it—I officially declare it almost summer ☀️ Which means it’s BBQ time 🎉
I love my BBQ 🔥 It’s quick to set up, heats fast, and is easy to clean—so I use it as often as possible.
But I also love my air fryer 🍟 and Ridge Monkey!

🚫 EU PET PASSPORT USE BANNED
If you’re a UK resident travelling to Europe with a dog, cat or ferret—and you have an EU pet passport—you need to know about this rule change.
From 22 April 2026, EU-issued pet passports held by GB residents will no longer be valid for travel from Great Britain to the EU.
In this video I explain:
▪️ What Regulation (EU) 2016/429 actually means for UK residents
▪️ Why the rules are changing now
▪️ Whether existing EU pet passports are still valid if you are a UK resident
▪️ Whether you now need an Animal Health Certificate
▪️ What about if you live in Northern Ireland?

🚐🌍 Planning a motorhome trip to Europe but nervous about the driving?
You’re not alone—it's the number one concern I hear. Worries about driving on the “wrong” side, road rules, signs, and narrow lanes are completely normal (I felt the same before my first trip!)
The good news? Driving in Europe is often *easier* than the UK. Roads are usually quieter, wider, and motorways flow much better.
A few quick tips:
• Stick to main roads at first (tolls can be worth it)
• Avoid busy town centres early on
• Use a motorhome-specific sat nav
• Take it slow—there’s no rush
• Keep driving days short (1–2 hours is plenty to start)

📘 My Europe eBook is now fully updated for 2026! 🎉
It had a complete rewrite (nearly 400 pages 😬) and includes:
✔️ Driving in Europe made simple
✔️ Country-by-country advice
✔️ Route planning & stop ideas
✔️ Everything you need for a stress-free trip
If you want to feel confident before you go, this will help massively.

❌ Why does this feel so complicated??
I remember the first time I tried to plan a motorhome trip to Europe…
I had so many tabs open.
Routes, campsites, places to visit, things I “had to see”…
And I just sat there thinking:
“Why does this feel so complicated?”
The truth is, most people don’t struggle because touring Europe is difficult…
They struggle because they start in the wrong place.
I’ve released a video where I show you:
→ The exact way I plan a motorhome trip to Europe (step by step)
→ Where to start (so it actually feels simple)
→ And what not to do if you want to avoid overwhelm
🎥 Watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRD-z...
