John Alite, an Englishtown, New Jersey councilman and former Gambino crime family hitman, was arrested yesterday and charged with multiple counts of extortion, corporate misconduct, and other offenses stemming from an alleged illegal scheme promoted through his entertainment company. According to a recent report by the New York Daily News, federal prosecutors have revealed a modern twist on classic organized crime intimidation tactics. In a notable extortion case, a suspected mafia enforcer verified his identity and backed up his threats by sending an extortion victim a direct link to his own specific online mob profile entry from a fake “MobFax” Facebook post.

According to federal authorities, the individual directed the victim to this documented criminal profile detailing his personal history and organized crime status to prove he meant business and terrify them into compliance.

On a personal note, please be aware that the “Mob facts” Facebook page is not my page, nor am I associated with it in any way. That account is a copycat page attempting to use an established name.

📌Edit: The Facebook Page created in 2017 and changed their name to “Mob facts” in 2022 so it’s 100% a copycat page! It’s like someone creating a channel named “OC Shorts.”

And there’s something strange about this story. The individual that made the post is a former NYPD officer that allegedly sold narcotics, pimped women and ended up becoming an informant.

Fascinating video shedding light on the 2016?feud between ex mob enforcer ‪@johnalite‬ and the Gotti family. It’s wild to see people close to Alite endorsing him after all the heavy accusations exchanged over the years.

This covers a deleted FB post by, allegedly made by Jeff Canarsie. I wish the channel had shown the text for verification, but the fallout from this story hit the NY Post (article linked in comments). I don't endorse any of these claims.

You can't preach "omertà" and a "no snitching" code if you're allegedly going undercover to report people. This is the last time I’m addressing this. Stick to historical true crime events instead of inserting yourself into the narrative.

You do good work when you focus on history. And leave me out of the nonsense….This is for educational and historical purposes. #MOBFAX
