I probably should’ve said this at the start of the month, my bad on that. Just been tired from work and not as active lately.

Since we’re already in June which is crazy, happy pride month everyone! And happy men’s mental health awareness month!

For any LGBT+ people here, I’m someone who has plenty of friends who are, mostly online but still. I know there’s a lot of nasty people out there and I’m sorry for everything you have to deal with, over the many years and even today. But I promise you’re in a safe space here, you are loved and supported by me and this community, and any homophobia, transphobia etc. will not be tolerated. I will delete any comments of the like, if there are any. Or block anyone who’s genuinely being hurtful and takes it too far. Be proud of who you are.

As for the fellow men here (and women with male loved ones in their lives) look out for yourselves and others. Don’t be afraid or ashamed to talk about how you feel.

Recently saw Mortal Kombat 2 in cinemas.

Won’t get into spoilers just because the movie is still new, but I gotta say I enjoyed it a lot! It was actually really good and even my friend who wasn’t an MK fan had fun watching this movie. Definitely better than the first movie in my opinion. It’s not the most amazing video game adaptation ever but I’d argue it’s the best MK movie so far, and I think it’s what I would have wanted in an MK movie.

I will say maybe it’s not as gory as you’d hope for a Mortal Kombat movie, but the fight scenes were really good. I loved Karl Urban as Johnny Cage, and Johnny is my all time favourite MK character. I know some people weren’t sure about how this performance would go, but I think he did a great job as an older, washed up Johnny Cage, absolutely awesome. Kitana is also a main character in this film and she sort of shares the spotlight with Johnny.

My favourite scene was probably the Uncaged Fury scene, just cause of how whacky and over the top it was.

Shao Kahn was good as well, they nailed his design too.

Overall I recommend if you want a movie with just a lot of fighting, and especially if you’re a Mortal Kombat fan.

What did everyone think of The Boys finale?

Just finished season 5 yesterday. I won’t spoil it for anyone who hasn’t seen it. I did quite enjoy it personally but it wasn’t perfect and I totally understand the criticism it’s getting. It’s still in my opinion definitely better than the comic ending though.

Overall I am sad to see the series is over, and I did still enjoy season 5, but it felt underwhelming. I thought there would be more stakes, like I was expecting Homelander to just go on an absolute rampage this season but that just doesn’t happen.
