Kaivalyadhama is one of the oldest and pioneering Yoga institutes in the world that follows the principles of Patanjali’s Ashtanga Yoga. Founded by Swami Kuvalayananda in 1924, it is the pioneering Yoga institute in the world that initiated scientific research in Yoga, based on traditional foundations and understanding.
Its lush green and sprawling 170-acre campus in the Sahyadri ranges, in Lonavala, Maharashtra, India, is a sight to behold and provides the perfect healing touch to the mind, body and soul.
The campus houses a healthcare centre (offering Ayurveda and naturopathy therapies as well), a college for Yoga, philosophical and scientific research departments, libraries, asana halls, a school for local children and an upcoming care centre for non-communicable diseases, amongst other things. Kaivalyadhama also has its centres located in over fifteen other locations in India, Europe, the Americas and Asia.

True wisdom lies in seeing all beings with equality, compassion, and respect.
The Bhagavad Gita reminds us that beyond differences, the same divine presence exists in everyone.
Before judging anyone, pause for a moment and remember — “All are children of God.”

Yoga was never built through textbooks alone. It was observed, practiced, corrected, refined, and passed forward; teacher to student, generation after generation.
That living continuity is what makes yoga more than information. It becomes experience carried through people.
Yogotsav 2026 brings together some of India’s respected yoga lineages and institutions at Kaivalyadhama, Lonavala, including traditions connected to Kaivalyadhama, Krishnamacharya, Iyengar, Art of Living and more.
Some gatherings are genuinely rare. This is one of them.
Online participation registrations are currently open. Register before 25th May
