Photographs create emotions in the viewer. Creating photographs also involve an emotional experience for the photographer and a connection with the subject being photographed. Photographs can move people into action, pictures can strengthen human bonds. Photographs can document how things are for those in the future.
My name is Mark Foreman, and I am a Southern California - based meditation teacher and freelance videographer / photographer. I left careers as a law enforcer and as a psychotherapy professional to pursue a fulfilling life through teaching and exploring. For those who’ve been walking with this channel for a while—
My quieter presence here has mirrored changes in how I’m working. Recent pieces using ILFORD Delta 3200 and adapted vintage lenses reflect a simpler, more spacious way of sharing—less explanation, more seeing. While monochrome has surfaced again (as it often does), this isn’t a narrowing of focus, nor a departure from color, nature, or mindful photography.
What lies ahead are small releases from an ongoing experiential photography journey: film stocks, infrared, FD lenses on modern bodies, side-by-side explorations where outcomes are allowed to speak for themselves. These aren’t conclusions—just moments set free.
