All right I am done with the script for the video that I'm going to make in June and the b-roll shot list. I like to print it out and have it on paper and a clipboard so I can take notes and cross the shots off when I get them done. I like to have my phone locked up when I am getting creative, and that includes writing, shooting, and editing.

All right this is the face of a YouTuber who is up to date on his YouTube taxes for 2026. I am proud to report that I'm about $250 in the hole which is exactly where I want to be considering I've already purchased hardware but I'm going to use for upcoming videos. Also I purchased a freaking huge 12TB of RAID networked storage across 2 12TB drives. I'm also going to make a pretty sweet film clip library. and use it as my own streaming media server.

My cat is highly skeptical of YouTuber lore that growing channels have to outsource their editing. That is a big old hairball. Personally I think the process of editing a video is incredibly rewarding and empowering and there's no way that I would want to outsource it especially now I'm only making one big video a month.
