My Favorite Fish of Spring 2026 Stream:

Heyo Friends Ill be streaming Saturday around 12 noon Pacific Coast Time.
We will be looking at some of the coolest new fish and invert varieties available this time of year, plus having an open Chat for ... chat (Duh), and Fish Support, Questions, Comments or Complaints.

So uh, yeah! Sorry the Friday stream was not possible. Our Internet was painfully slow or out, for a big section of our neighborhood. Hopefully the tech issues will be resolved by later this evening... or I may just mobile stream from my phone up the road, instead.

Hey all. I unfortunately cannot stream this evening (Friday) Happy May Day.
May it be a lovely evening for you and yours.

As per usual im going to try and stream in the morning on Saturday tomorrow for a brunch time stream. Ill make sure and stream whenever my health allows. Right now being on a chemo med, a ste7roid, and 3 antibiotics... I just cant focus or sit and stream. Sorry friends, but thanks for understanding. It has been a long haul, but if you're going through Hell- Keep Going!

When It Rains it Pours!

Sorry I missed today's (Tuesday's) Live Stream. Unfortunately a few events conspired into creating quite the crap day lol.
I will try and stream sometime tomorrow, or when my fever breaks.
On that note: I was sad that I had to miss AGA 2026 in Sacramento this week, and ironically It was due to my foot injury being made worse by trying on a "Travel Boot" , which pushed too hard on the wound, which split it back open after over a year of this healing.
My wife and I have gone 1 to 3 x a week to the wound clinic, for 14+ months now. They debride ( use a scalpel to remove the top layer of skin that is growing into a scab or scar tissue and managing the healthy healing skin around it) the wound- Which is painful and means 1 or 2 outpatient surgeries a week... long story short- IM OVER IT! 😆
Okay so I was bummed not to go but was worried about injuring my foot again/worse, by being too ambitious too soon- well today at the wound clinic, I had a high fever, and the foot AND SHIN were bright pink, and clearly infected for the first time in 9 months... I thought we were done with this whole infection thing?! But it turns out, they caught it in time, and im worn out, and now on 2 antibiotics, but at least Im at my home base I suppose.
Well to cap all that off:
I walk into the fish room after sleeping most the day, and having last checked on the fish yesterday in the early morning....
To get BLASTED IN THE FACE BY 97 DEGREE, HUMID AIR, AND THE SMELL OF COOKED BROCCOLI AND POACHED TROUT, As my heart sunk.
HOW?! I had a thermostat, ive been through this before... only 5 tanks have heaters, and they all had inkbird "cutoffs" to protect from shorting out and overheating.
Well this time WILL BE THE LAST TIME HEATERS KILL A FISH IN MY HOUSE! My space heater, was stuck heating the room to 100°f, the room was 75° on the floor and 101 at the ceiling...
I have now officially done every idiotic thing with heaters, AC units and or thermostats and fish tanks! So I didnt think it through correctly, and my thermostat was set in the room... not the tanks ( each ink bird was... but that didnt matter obviously). So being only 2 feet off the ground, the critical 86 degree cutoff temp, never was reached. The dehumidifier was full and the tanks just evaporated over 2 inches each in 32 hours or so. And all the tanks at 5.5 foot and 4 feet+ cooked... the fish below that survived.
Ill cover it in an episode but it's been a crap day. I apologize for missing the stream, and for yet again... 3rd time .
