The official copies unfortunately took quite a long time to arrive at Amazon, so up until now, the paperback versions had only been available as Print-On-Demand editions provided by Amazon.

The content is exactly the same, but the official copies definitely have a nicer overall finish in terms of color, print quality, and overall polish, so I’m really happy that they finally arrived and are now available internationally for all of you.

If you’ve finished beginner grammar but feel stuck at the intermediate level, or if not much seems to stick and you’re not seeing much progress, this course is for you ✨

There was a microphone disconnection issue during the session, so the audio quality from about 10 minutes in until the end wasn’t very good. ✨ Korean Idiom Time! 💡
"배보다 배꼽이 크다" literally means the belly button (배꼽) is bigger than the belly (배). Just from the phrase itself, you can probably guess the figurative meaning!

You can use it in situations like these:

1) 그 신발 사고 싶은데 배송비가 옷보다 두 배나 비싸요!
(배송비: shipping fee, 두 배: twice, two times)
→I want to buy those shoes, but the shipping fee is twice the actual product!

2) 2만원짜리 마우스를 고치는 데에 5만원이 들었어요.
(고치다: to fix)
→It cost 50,000 won to repair a 20,000 won mouse.

3) 포장박스가 선물보다 커요.
The packaging box is bigger than the gift.

Now, can you tell what this idiom means? 😁
