So. This year's lineup is almost full, however, we still get some internally released songs to come out. I thought I might wanna share my opinions on what I expect of them.

🇨🇿 As I'm writing this an hour before the name of the artist is released, but word on the street is that it's gonna be a ballad. Exactly that genre that we already have way too many songs of. Honestly don't have any hope for this.

🇨🇭 Veronica Fusaro. Believe it or not, I know her from my old "discord fan contest" days, I made this "Switzerlands song" nf and had one of her songs in my nf. She got 7th out of 10. (you can still find those videos in my playlist section) I gotta say, I am cautiously optimistic that she actually has something interesting to deliver.

🇬🇪 Very conflicted about this one. I never watched jesc or ever plan to do so, so I havent ever known them before their announcement to represent the country. Overall, this really feels like a hail mary of Georgia. On the one hand, they do seem to have an original style and could be pretty fun, on the other hand, I heard that georgia was creating this entry "for eurovision", and what I most love about georgia that they always sent authentic entries that didnt care about eurovision, as dimidrugg explained in his video.

🇦🇿 Eh. I am probably the only one in the eurovision fan to be a really big fan of Azerbaijan 2023-2025, but this seems like another swedish girlbop slop, so, not excited for this one.

🇦🇲 I am not exaggerating when I say that armenia is quite literally my last hope to send something good. One tiny part of me still holds the hope that bbno$ was serious about his eurovision participation but I really doubt it.

🇸🇪 Mid. Again. Just mid.

Gotta say, eurovision this year feels like a german national final, ranges from rather mid to shitty, with maybe 3-4 decent songs, but they dont stand a chance anyway. So, yeah, I do feel broken. Also, hey alicja tomorrow which honestly comes close to rivaling sarah engels with how bad it really is. Ouf.

Of all countries, I did not expect romania to make the right choice, but well, here we are. Alexandra might have been my second place after the show (which sucked btw, seemed like they had a budget of 20 bucks or something) but it was definitely a very good choice. I do hope for a revamp or at least a better production with more of a punky or rocky vibe, but I'm happy either way. Fucking hell, romania, really didnt see that coming.

Aight, back from holidays, working on some new videos right now, just wanted to share my thoughts on the selected entries from yesterday:

🇩🇪 Leave it to the germans to send quite literally one of the worst songs I've ever heard. If you want my more angrily formulated opinion on the song, check out my Germany ranking video, but you can already get my feeling for this one. Absolutely abysmal, horrible, locked second to last place in my ranking (last is the country that shall not be named). I know that dimidrugg is devestated, but it was clear this would win.

🇫🇮 Pretty clear from the beginning. Don't get how this got more points than käärijä, but okay. I honestly don't feel much for it, it's all right, but not the "winning contender" everybody says it is.

🇳🇴 lol.

🇷🇸 Thank god they didnt choose the yugoslavia propaganda song. I would have hated this one even more than germany, cause of the lyrics. Their actual entry is actually kinda cool. I adore metal with all my heart, so, I like it. Probably the best entry we got yesterday. Reminds me a bit of Katarsis actually. I do really hope they revamp the performance, especially the costumes were really not working well for me.

🇧🇬 Pretty much everything i hate about girlbops. The only reason why I'm not hating it soo much, is cause the germans are somehow worse. Pretty bad, pretty boring, not pretty at all.

Then there are of course sweden and portugal, didnt care to watch them. Havent listened to any of the songs from mello, im gonna start working on the ranking right now. I hate to sound like a broken record, but the lineup of this year is so fucking dogshit, ouuf. Just ouf.

Aaaaaand, yay, lithuania chose the worst one, great. This is getting kinda funny actually, everytime i think "All right, it's over, now we'll start getting some good songs again", another country stomps out that hope immediately. I really don't get why this, of all years, has to suck so fucking much. Seriously, i got two songs I like, maybe 5 I don't mind, the rest, absolute garbage. Absolute trash. Honestly, with my luck, tomorrow is gonna be great: We're gonna get Fire by Sarah Engels, some generic pop song for bulgaria, zejna for serbia, dont give a shit about norway, and a generic ballad for italy. Gonna be great guys, have fun. (finland is also there, the only song I like is takkatukka and he's gonna get second, so, yay.)

I was about to write a comment that Serbia's selection is much better than i thought and they actually have some interesting entries, but then they decided to basically eliminate every entry that was unique and instead put all the female ballads in the final. (my entire top 3 is gone). Seriously, what the fuck lol. also, zenja, from a historical point of view, has one of the worst lyrics I've ever read that would fit perfectly with russian and israeli entries. If she wins, I'm gonna be ranting about that until may. Serbia, what is wrong with you guys?
