One of the things my wife, Tina, told me that I absolutely live by, which is not to let anyone clip my wings... I live a blessed life, with absolutely no regrets along the way..... Work hard and live life to its fullest!.... A great reminder to me, and great advice to others who want more in life...


In May of 2027, I will be speaking at Caesars Palace in Atlantic City, New Jersey, to the New Jersey Narcotic Enforcement Officers Association, and honored to be invited.... So my "Wanna" is taking me places, and I am loving it!!!

Gale is a safety educator, crime prevention specialist, and speaker dedicated to helping people build awareness, confidence, and practical safety skills. She holds a bachelor's degree in Speech Communication from California State University, East Bay, and a master's degree in Leadership from Saint Mary's College in Moraga, California.


Gale spent sixteen years working at California State University, East Bay and sixteen years as a crime prevention specialist with the Hayward Police Department. She has been R.A.D. Systems self defense instructor since 2000 and served as astate board President of the California Crime Prevention Officers Association CCPOA from 2018 to 2025.


Through her teaching and writing, Gale shares the A.W.A.R.E. mindset to help people stay alert, trust their instincts, and take ownership of their personal safety, Gale is about to release her new book called A.W.A.R.E. which is designed to be the safety playbook for leaving the nest... Really a book that should be mandatory reading for young adults before entering the real world....

She is a recognized expert on A&E's The First 48, and the only TV journalist to cover the show on a regular basis. She holds a degree in criminology and a minor in administration of justice, and The First 48 made her want to be a Tulsa homicide detective. She lives vicariously through our lives and has written some amazing stories over the years about many of the detectives featured on the show.


When not covering true crime and crime procedurals, she is an actor, writer and singer who recently got to perform on Broadway with her hero Jonathan Groff. We are going to talk about the history of The First 48 and the future.

I have a new episode tomorrow night that will drop, but I noticed my friend, Michael Cantrell placed this episode on his YouTube page... I rewatched it, and it has a lot of great information about the world of corrections, and Michael is really a wealth of knowledge in that industry, not to mention an author of several really good books pertaining working in prisons... Is definitely one of the better episodes that you will enjoy if you have not caught this one... He has a really good podcast as well, which I highly recommend, its called The Prison Officer Podcast. Great info if you were interested in that career or just wanted to learn more about it....

Brian is a highly experienced Certified Latent Print Examiner, certified by the International Association of Identification, with over 41 years of expertise in crime scene investigation, forensic analysis, and evidence examination. He is a retired Detective Lieutenant from the Massachusetts State Police.


In addition to working with MSP, he also worked as a Latent Print Examiner with Department of Defense, Boston Police Department, Houston Police Department, and the Osceola County Sheriff's Office out of Florida. He also has just completed a book that is soon to be released called "The Rest of the Story a Memoir by Brian O'Hara.
Should be an interesting episode with a Fingerprint guru...

This episode originally aired on March 8, 2024. Episode #13 was epic! I am a super fan of Retired Sgt. Kevin Briggs, whose beat included the Golden Gate Bridge... He is credited with saving over 200 lives of those who went to the Golden Gate Bridge to jump and commit suicide. With little to no training with respect to active listening or negotiating, he navigated his way to be someone who most if not all negotiators look up too and respect. Kevin is very candid about his life not only in dealing with suicidal subjects on the bridge to working as a correctional officer in San Quinton Prison.... Please check it out. He is definitely someone I consider a hero and one I look up too..

Steve has given lectures and presentations at law enforcement conferences on many forensic topics and talks at writer’s conferences.


Steve has been recognized nationally and internationally (Interpol) for his contributions to forensic science. He is a certified fingerprint expert and was also acknowledged as an expert in digital imaging at the International Forensic Science Symposium in Lyon, France.
