CUSTOM EDITED POSTER. The ‪@Mattel‬ 2026 Checklist Poster Mainline

As 2025 is over halfway complete, the 2026 mainline awaits its start of releases this fall and its reveals wait ever so close. This complete poster edit is what can be considered as my dream lineup for 2026. From Cars 1 releases, new and old, to secretive gold edition releases for the 20th anniversary, this poster features a lot of cars for every collector to enjoy!

In the Cars 1 Section we have the most releases. To celebrate the 20th anniversary, every character released in this exact mainline 20 years ago are all featured someway or another. There’s a great handful of returning characters, new Thailand variants, and new releases that are sure to satisfy collectors, especially in their crave for previously cancelled releases.

In the Cars 2 section, although still small in size, features great new variants, returning characters, and the long awaited blue gremlin with headset (Mark Cardell).

In the Cars 3 section we dive into a bunch of great Thailand variants and a small handful of new releases. The next gens get their shine in new variants, as do the stock cars with new variants and their return to the mainline after a few year hiatus. The legends are back, the thunder hollow announcer, and many more!

Cars Toons isn’t gonna get its shine this year in size, but it’s made up for in having perfect Thailand variants to come in Kaa Reesu, the long awaited Bye Bye Kar, and some fresh rereleases in Rescue Squad Mater and Burnt Lightning McQueen.

Cars On The Road takes the backseat this year, having no new singles, but can be satisfactory in its brand new 2-pack release of Mad Scientist Mater, paired along with 2024’s Tony Motorfelt.

The Gold Edition 20th Anniversary cars are treated just as the Racing Reds of 2021, being secretive until release or reveals via website links/promotional images. Of course, through the year these would be expected to unveil themselves.

Race and Rescue Book Cover!

So from this cover, we did not get Rally Die-Cast for Bobby Swift, Brick Yardley, and Bubba Wheelhouse. Amongst any others we have yet to see in the background in the actual pages. The background cars are likely not that important, they seem to be basic bystanders at the race as per usual.

Second set of 2025 Die-Cast edits for the (more) accurate Cars Character variants.

Randy - Features a MUCH better Paintjob with more silver paint, an eerie grin expression with perfect looking eyes too! Other added details like full rims and silver windshield outline

Cryptid Buster Lightning McQueen - A much more accurate expression to his on-screen counterpart, being quite annoyed or uninterested in Cryptid Hunting. Other added details like black outline for windshield and for the roof lights

Roadette Marker - COMPLETELY accurate version of her that looks 1000X better than her original release. A joyful expression, full rims, black outline around her windshield, and more.

Clovis Rider - features a much more determined expression rather than joyful, and added details to his chrome parts.

Here’s a small Collection of my most recent cars Die-cast edits of the (more) accurate versions of Cars Characters.

Fabulous Lightning McQueen - Much more accurate Paintjob in terms of blue shade and decal colors. In addition to having a much better expression.

Sheriff - nearly complete accurate version to his movie counterpart with curb feelers, antennas, correct decals/coloring, correct roof accesories, and a much better expression.

Billy Oilchanger - Based off the artwork of himself, he features an accurate shade of orange and a much more vibrant yellow glow beneath his sponsors, in addition to a great expression.

Johnny Blamer - also based off his artwork, he has a much more personality-expression expression and more accurate colors and wheel trims
