I'm still in the early stages of my Health Hiatus and as you can guess, the free-time its given me has been a mixed bag. On the one hand I'm now going down all of the correct avenues I should be taking in order to get better and hopefully regain some normalcy in my life, but on the other its so boring. :')

Thankfully, streaming as my nasty Rodent VTuber has given me something fun to do in the evening for a few hours. Key word is fun! My Doctor has asked I avoid situations that can put me under extreme stress, and blessedly this isn't one of those. Plus, its nice to talk to you guys regularly and give you life updates here or there. As of this community message, I'll be playing Dragons Dogma 2 later tonight and sometime within the next two weeks I'll be revisiting Lost Odyssey and NieR. The one with good 'ol Papa. 😎 Been meaning to take another swing at that game and what better time to do so? (I'm also replaying Final Fantasy 13 with the goal of playing its sequels which I've never touched. Wanted to challenge my opinions on them and so far its been fun talking about them with chat! I'll post links for some of my future streams here, although I don't want to spam the community tab in my absence. I know that can get annoying lmao.)

Also, thank you for the crazy amount of understanding you've all had in regards to this. I know it came out of the blue, but it was the same for me aswell. I definitely wouldn't put this job that I love on hold and sacrifice 80% of my income to become a fulltime streamer, that's for sure. I think if I gave up everything, I wouldn't know what to do with my time. I can assure you all, I'm taking every step necessary to recover and also try to rediscover who I am with the gloves off.

Hey folks, you all deserve an explanation for my recent absence so here's a super long double post that I definitely haven't been putting off sending. (´ε｀；)

I've decided to go on hiatus from YouTube due to declining health reasons. Here are some links so you can keep up to date with me: vgen.co/Clemps
I wouldn't make this choice unless I felt it was absolutely necessary. Something I neglected to emphasise in my post is how the burnout from work is only one ingredient in the doo-doo sandwich. It isn't the main reason why my health has taken a hit. This has been building up for years and it was inevitable that something would eventually break and I'd be forced to pay attention and start to make some serious choices.
I'm being well taken care of by my family and regularly getting health check ups, so there's no cause for concern there. I'm not sure how long I'll be gone for, but I'm saying "2024" for now. Always a chance I could be back earlier, but I don't wanna give away any false hope. I definitely don't want FF9 / Lost Odyssey to be unfinished projects.
It was a hard choice, as I still love doing this as a job and I won't be earning anything from Patr3on during this time. I don't wanna take your money if I'm not putting out content. (b˙◁˙ )b

I'll still be streaming when I can as I explained in the post, as it'll give me something to do and I'll still be able to chat to you guys, so go follow me there if you wanna hang out. I'm not giving up YouTube for streaming, so don't worry! Its only temporary and its nice to do something for a few hours in the evening where I can socialise with people and keep myself busy.

I'll still make the occasional community post here or there, especially when I'm about to stream a new game. I've gotta refresh my memory for Lost Odyssey if I wanna make Part 2, so I'll be playing all of it live. FF7: Rebirth, too!

I know these posts can be hard to read but I know if I continued going the way I was going, the impact it would have on me would be irreversible. I don't want to do that to myself or to you guys. So this is definitely for the best.

Hope to see a cheeky handful of you in chat, and I'll try to keep you all up to date with how I'm doing. I really, really appreciate your respect and understanding. Gonna work hard at recovery so I can be at the top of my game. And please take care of yourselves in the meantime, too. ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧

Despite the burnout, this video has been really fun to make. It's nice to gush about something like One Piece for a while. :D
