My newest video is a shorter one, “San Francisco That Survived” where I go in search of pieces of the old city that made it through the 1906 quake and fire and are still around today. Here’s a pic of me at the Haas-Lilienthal House which features in the video. Built in 1886 and as beautiful now as it was then! Check out the vid, it was very fun to make!

I have a new book coming out! “Faraway Star” is a science fiction adventure, with a dash of romance and even some historical easter eggs here and there. Sorry I’ve been quiet lately, but I’ve been very busy working on the next videos! For the next one we’re going to go farther back in time than I’ve ever gone on the channel before, and it’s going to be an interesting ride. This golden coffin, photographed in 1907, has something to do with it. No gonzo History Channel garbage either, as tends to happen when ancient Egypt comes up. My new video on the history of TWA is out now! But I also wrote on my blog, the Garden of Memory, a companion article about my personal history with the TWA Flight 800 tragedy of 1996 and how it shaped my journey of critical thinking. Although I do deal with TWA 800 accident in my video (it’s in Chapter 10), these thoughts are more personal and I didn’t think belonged in the video.
