1 अप्रैल को ओड़िसा दिवस क्यों मनाते हैं?
भारत की आज़ादी से पहले ओड़िया भाषा बोलने वाले नागरिकों ने अपने लिए एक अलग राज्य बनाने की मांग की.
इस मांग का उद्देश ओड़िया भाषा की सुरक्षा के साथ-साथ इस क्षेत्र का
राजनीतिक, सामाजिक तथा सांस्कृतिक विकास था.
मांग मनवाने के लिए श्री मधुसूदन दास ने सन 1903 में उत्कल सम्मेलनी का गठन किया और लगातार नए राज्य के गठन के लिए संघर्ष करते रहे.
आखिरकार, वर्ष 1936 में 1अप्रैल के ही दिन देश के प्रथम भाषा आधारित राज्य के तौर पर
ओडिशा का गठन हुआ. इसलिए हर साल 1 अप्रैल को “ओडिशा / उत्कल दिवस” मनाया जाता है.

राम नवमी क्यों मनाई जाती है ?
अयोध्या नरेश दशरथ पुत्र न होने के कारण दुखी थे.
तब गुरु वशिष्ठ ने उन्हें पुत्र प्राप्ति के लिए पुत्रेष्टि यज्ञ कराने के लिए कहा.
यज्ञ की ज्वाला में अग्नि देव प्रकट हुए और प्रसाद स्वरुप खीर दिया जो तीनो रानियों कौशल्या, केकैयी और सुमित्रा को राजा द्वारा खिलाया गया.
प्रसाद के प्रभाव से तीनो रानियाँ गर्भवती हो गयीं और चैत्र नवरात्री के दिन भगवान् विष्णु के सातवें अवतार श्री राम का जन्म हुआ.
इसीलिए इस दिन राम जी का जन्मोत्सव मनाने के लिए राम नवमी मनाई जाती है. जय श्री राम.

Kalpana Chawla was an Indian-American astronaut who was born on March 17, 1962. She was the first woman of Indian origin to go to space and served as a mission specialist on the space shuttle Columbia. She first flew in space in 1997 as part of a six-astronaut crew on STS-87. During this mission, she logged over 360 hours in space.
Chawla's second space mission was STS-107, during which she served as a mission specialist on the Columbia. Tragically, the mission ended in disaster on February 1, 2003, when the Columbia disintegrated during re-entry into the Earth's atmosphere, killing all seven crew members, including Chawla.
Kalpana Chawla's legacy has inspired many people around the world, particularly in India. She is remembered for her dedication to her work and her courage in pursuing her dreams, despite facing numerous obstacles as a woman in a male-dominated field.
