Just finished Volume 1 of Mad Cave’s Speed Racer!
I gotta say, so far so good. I was worried a bit with the “view tube” vibe, but it quickly went into the background.
My hope is that Speed learns to work with Inspector (Detector?). But it’s actually a fun story.
Art is awesome! But I feel like all the brand new kind of late model cars don’t fit. (They look out of place in Speeds World) Like Snake Oilers Toyota Supra with a snake head…. Would love to see some more original car designs make their way in. Or just a better variety of custom cars (like maybe check some older autoramas or Ed Roth style designs to fit the aesthetic) Right now only the Cops, Racer X, and Speed feel like the cars fit.
