Hi guys! I just have to share one of my new favorite creators. By now, you know I am Gen X... proudly Gen X but that's not really something we as a generation used to talk about much. However, YouTube has changed our attitude from "Why would we want to talk about ourselves" to "Look guys, I found a new technology tool! Let's roll this one out, too!" Hah! ... anyway ‪@genxjono‬ is hilarious and I swear to God.

While I have never met this man, I feel like we grew up together. He would have been one of my BFF explorer buddies who would be on my team for bike tag (it's a game of tag while riding your bike in the parking lot), having bike races down Cherry Street (which was the steepest hill in town and also shot you out into the main street traffic ... so you had to go fast AND know how to stop on a dime), and exploring the sewer systems that fed out into the pollywog ponds (well, until you grew too large to squeeze your body through the polls that the adults thought would keep people out of the sewers).

This video of his, talking about why Gen X is a good "emergency contact" choice made me laugh... the TV show references are so on point! I feel like I should to a TV series review for The A-Team!

Hi Everyone! I decided to set up my channel's memberships area where I am going to post more off topic content. 🙂

I thought it might be fun to share a few little travel moments, behind-the-scenes thoughts, casual updates, and other odds and ends that don’t always fit the main public channel.

First up, I'm off to Australia for 3 weeks, visiting Sydney and Perth before heading over to New Zealand. ✈️

The public movie reviews and essays aren’t going anywhere. That will absolutely remain the heart of this channel. I have a few scheduled for while I am away.

This members area is just a quieter little corner of the community for anyone who wants to come along for the adventure, chat, and have fun.

Oh. My. Gawd! I was doing some research on my channel using the VidIQ tool, and it suggested that I use this AI generated thumbnail because it would get more clicks on my Running Man movie review. I dunno... People MIGHT click, but for all of the wrong reasons! Hahahaha... this is why you don't let AI make things. You end up with multiple arms and white bars piercing through your head!

Hi Everyone! I think my Mortal Kombat II review may be one of the best reviews I’ve done so far.

What surprised me most about the movie is that it understands something Hollywood often forgets: audiences will forgive imperfections if they’re emotionally engaged. The story, characters, action, humor, and fan service all work together in a way that just WORKS.

It’s energetic, unapologetically fun, and one of the most satisfying video game adaptations I’ve seen in a really long time.

If you’ve seen the film already, I’d genuinely love to know what worked (or didn’t work) for you. And if you think the review might be a good fit for another Mortal Kombat fan, I’d really appreciate you sharing it around. Thank you!!!!!!!!

Go see THE SHEEP DETECTIVES! I don't usually like recommending films so strongly... but I have a feeling that this lovely little film will get decimated by Mortal Kombat II in the theaters. A similar thing happened with Dust Bunny and Jewels, which are roundly loved by pretty much anyone who saw them... and not many people saw them in the theaters. Since I would really like more smart storytelling for families, I am trying to highlight this film for people because that's how we build young theater lovers!

I do not give up easily. So... I am asking you all a favor... because I do not know anyone who can help me with this. I would like to get on the Disney press list for the Star Wars: Mandalorian and Grogu movie this month in Boston. My channel is too small to qualify for the Disney press list. So, every Disney film I review is one I pay to see and my reviews always come out after their release dates. I can live with that. It's fine... HOWEVER, I am going to Australia for 3 weeks this month and will be leaving the day before the Mandalorian film is released. I won't be able to watch the film, write my review, and record it while I am traveling. This is why I am trying to get on the press list for this film.

I try to be fair and balanced in my reviews and really help viewers decide for themselves if a film is one they want to watch or not. By the time I get back from traveling, my review will be fairly meaningless and just one more video response to add to the box office noise.

IF you can help me. IF you know someone on the Disney press team. IF you are willing to help me get added to the Boston press list, this ONE time, I would be grateful.

P.S. While I am an original fan from 1977, I promise to give this film a fair and honest review whether or not I get into the screening. That's just how I roll... Thank you!!

I tried something a little different with The Christophers. This was an out-of-theater reaction right after a late-night screening, so it’s a bit more raw and in-the-moment than my usual reviews.

I’m curious… do you like this kind of immediate response, or do you prefer the deeper, more structured breakdowns that I usually do?
