This one was a Successful Failure. Unfortunately, it didn't come out good. There were a few areas in which the carbon fiber didn't sit on the mold completely (creating a bridge/air gap of resin).
Oh well, lessons learned. I'll do better on the next one.

Just finished clear coating the sample parts (carbon fiber build) for the Master Cylinder Cover. Going to aim for releasing the How-to video for "Carbon Fiber Resin Infusion" later this week. What do you all think?

I experimented with my first carbon fiber test part. Just need to make the clear coat thinner, but other than that, it came out promising. 😁

This is the third (prototype) engine cover. I decided to color match it to the car (kona blue). Came out looking pretty clean. 😃

What do you all think:
1. Paint the new cover orange with some black trim (the "5.0" and the trenches black).
2. Paint the new cover black with some Orange trim (the "5.0" and the trenches orange).
3. Leave the whole cover gloss black (as-is).
I would like your thoughts and ideas.
