Had a question asking what batteries I run in our DeeRC. Our version is an older one that has a T connector on the esc and uses a soft battery pack with a T connector. As I understand it the newer versions have a hard cased battery pack with a built in T connector that plugs in when you insert the battery into the tray.
Here are two batteries I use that work with the old version. I'm sure the new models could be slightly modified to work with these batteries.

I've had these vintage Bolink foam tires for a while (Thanks Dave). They fit perfect on these vintage fluorescent pink kyosho wheels. Hoping to try these out on my local carpet track. They should work well on my Spare Parts Ultima.

I just love the style and design of this transmitter. This one came with the flea market Kyosho Raider but was missing the antenna. No big deal I thought as the antenna from my Futaba Sport would work with it. When I tried using it the antenna wouldn't tighten down on the mounting screw. A quick disassembly and I discovered that the mounting screw had popped loose. An easy fix. I'm going to have to try this old transmitter out when I get a chance.

So far this is only the 4th part I've broken on my Yokomo RS 1.0. It's been a great car and I've been throughly impressed with its performance and durability.

After only five minutes of running my Tamiya Rising Fighter the gearbox started clicking. After tearing it down I was surprised at the amount of dirt that was able to get in. Luckily a good cleaning fixed the issue and the gears suffered no damage.

My first touring car build. It's a Yokomo RS 1.0. Very nice starter car. Had a few challenges with it but the build was straight forward and enjoyable. Looking forward to racing this beauty once my schedule clears up.

No RC today. Took in an air show. Fortunately the weather cooperated. We got to see the mighty A10 in its last air show...it's being removed from the airshow circuit. Wonder why?

Mugen MBX7 Eco E-Buggy.
My latest project...restoring an older Mugen MBX7 Eco to racing conditions. This poor soul was rained on and put away wet. Been a struggle but i think it will make a great starter E-Buggy. Thanks to Aaron for picking this up for me.
