hi everyone, i’ve been having a real cow with this episode’s edit. didn’t help that i was sick as a dog yesterday! feel like a real…donkey…having to push this episode another day or so :( but don’t look a gift horse in the mouth, it WILL be out this week.

what's this? it's the brand-new Lemon Twigs album? and i reviewed it for Tracking Angle??
this piece is, you guessed it, a commentary on our culture's obsession with nostalgia. but it also examines why being so referential works for the Lemon Twigs, and how they can fly so close to the sun and (generally) avoid being cheesy. Look For Your Mind! is their strongest LP to date and i'm glad i got to write the review!

alright Monday crew, i have good news and bad news.

let's start with the good news: the next episode is HUGE. a big album celebrating a big anniversary, and we have a special guest coming onto the show!!

the bad news is: considering it's Wednesday night, i have a work deadline to make, and my research is /still/ ongoing (big albums mean an exceedingly high volume of info and cross-referencing,) i can say with 100% certainty this episode will not be out this Monday. not to mention the monster edit this will be holy moly! we'll be back on the 18th for, again, a BIG album celebrating a big anniversary.

for those of you hungry for another Sonic Youth review: here it is, and it is a beast. Tracking Angle let me review a plunderphonics album. it's the most original and challenging release on the RSD 2026 list. i also got to write about dismantling nostalgia and my favorite Grateful Dead song, so that's always a plus. up now for your reading...pleasure?
