Be it joy, confidence, anger, sadness.. the very things that remind us we’re human in this increasingly synthetic world.
There isn’t a more universally human experience than the loss of a loved one, and with that loss, the feelings that we each process in our own ways as we try to pick up the pieces and carry on.
On this next #Inpatient song, Ren really took me into his world musically.
As much as I’ve really found and experimented with my singing voice over the past several years, I know my limitations. Ren pushed me to step past those limitations.
While him and JP (whose production here is immaculate), carry the bulk of the weight on this one, I was happy to tag along on the very first ballad I’ve ever been apart of.
With that said, I carried my weight in a different way by mobilizing the entire might of the Webby visual team to bring you a music video that turned out feeling more like a short film.
No corners were cut, no expenses spared, and finally seeing the final product, I’m damn proud of what we put together.
I showed it to a group of friends the other night and two girls actually left the room crying.
Like I said in the beginning of this caption, the best of music is meant to make us feel something.
And #Inpatient is here to help bring the human element back into music.
As we round the corner and prepare for the release of this album, I wanna take a sec to give this man his flowers.
When you flew out to Connecticut to shoot the Baggage video I had a feeling we were gunna hit it off, but none of us could have ever possibly predicted where it went from there.
Ren, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. You’re a generational talent.. and it has truly been an honor and a pleasure forging this creative partnership with you.
You and your crew feel like a part of my family at this point, and the respect and trust we all have in each other is a rare and sacred thing.
This #Inpatient album is the best body of work I’ve ever been a part of.. special in a way that’s impossible to fully describe.
If I was a gambling man, I would bet it all on this one. It’s the one.. I’ve never been so sure of anything in my life.
And now it’s almost time for the rest of the world to hear it.. the fans are about to have their minds absolutely blown..

Got a puppy the other day and have been quickly remembering how much work that entails. Even tho she’s only 2 lbs and adorable, little Domino is quickly learning how to be a menace.
Also almost cut my thumb off with a chainsaw yesterday like an f’ing idiot. The fact that I didn’t hit tendon or cut the whole thing off is wild honestly. But I still saw bone and am hurtin pretty bad today. Typing this caption one handed is taking awhile.
But also the day before that I found a deer antler in my yard which apparently symbolizes both protection and the start of a new chapter.
Pretty wild for all this to happen in the week following #RawThoughtsVII release, which has been getting a crazier response than anything I’ve ever dropped.
Life is a strange, beautiful, messy thing and I’m excited to see where it goes next 👁️🙏🏻🕸
