We're not telling you how to live your life or who or what to worship or even what you are. We are only creating a space where you can experience love and divinity and get a glimpse into how divine and precious you are, what a treasure you are, how you represent far more than you can ever imagine.

You have so much more power and understanding than you give yourself credit for. You are infinitely intelligent and wise. We are here only to plug you in to Source. We are the cord.

The Judah Channel

Questioner: I am homeschooling my nearly 6-year-old son. We give him as much freedom as we can manage. He is now refusing to do anything ‘schooly’ e.g. reading (and tidying his toys 😅) I can see he has so much resistance to it and it causes him and me so much suffering ‘having’ to do it.

I’ve tried clearing on this many times and often feel some peace around it but then the fear of disapproval from society, and non fulfilling my role or obligations creep in.

Then I realize I am trying to shape and mold him to be able to read and write so he ‘fits in’ with society's expectations…. So he can function in society. Should I just stop trying to get him to do his schoolwork?

JUDAH: No real learning can happen in an atmosphere of resistance. Locate the source of discomfort for your son. What does he believe about himself? Does he simply want to play and enjoy life like a normal six-year-old, or has he adopted a mistaken belief of an inability to learn and read?

Move towards whatever has little to no resistance, while holding in mind his potential for LIMITLESS INFINITE INTELLIGENCE.

Doing nothing is an option for a time. Then, action will need to be taken, for falling far beyond peers creates further mistaken, limiting beliefs about his abilities, and these can be carried as wounds for a lifetime.

If there is ANY reading activity that is FUN for both of you, engage in that. If there is resistance in it, trade it for another option such as the one Anjie mentioned, at least for a time. When confidence grows in a non-resistance environment of ease and flow, he will naturally desire to read all on his own.

Also, an outside teacher can be of great benefit in reducing the strain on your relationship. Many times, when children experience learning and nurture from another adult, they then become aware of the good intentions and competence of their parent. This is like trading a two-legged stool for a three-legged stool. The teacher becomes the third leg on the “stool,” which makes your son’s learning experience much more stable as opposed to a two-legged stool which is not at all stable to sit on, and one is likely to fall off.

Lastly, find storybooks of children who have struggled to read and overcome their struggles. Read these stories to him in a state of relaxation.

Ask fairies for help. Bella the fairy loves to help with children’s dispositions 🧚🏽‍♂️
