Couldn't do it live this time around, but sharing some thoughts below on the Sony State of Play in case anyone missed it (and in order of the announcements) 😎

• Wolverine •
- Looks incredible! Exceptional lighting, combat looks gritty and gnarly (also very gory!), environmental destruction looks cool, hope the story is good, Jean Grey, Mystique & Sabertooth?!

• Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls •
- Meh, looks good if you are into these games but not for me.

• Rayman Legends Retold •
- Gorgeous graphics, witty one liners and full voice acted dialogue which sounds very close to a fun family Pixar Movie. 3D side scrolling looks interesting. Great news for R-Man fans and platforming enthusiasts.

• Bancho The Chef •
- Cell shaded graphics, funky tones with a Japanese flair. Looks fun for Overcooked or fans of old school cooking hands like cooking mama.

• Kemuri •
- Japanese Manga, mix of jet art radio and DMC type combat. Not much given away in terms of story except it's a Yokai Hunting game set in a neopunk setting, gameplay very fast paced with luminescent art style graphics. Pass for me.

• Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis •
- Yes yes and more yes!
Combat looks up closed and personal, Environments and enemies look varied and have stunning detail, Puzzles and locations from previous games making a remade comeback including the iconic T-Rex. Oh and Lara got credentials 👀

• The Lost Wild •
- Dinosaurs look incredible, has a 1st person survival horror vibe similar to alien isolation but set in Jurassic Park universe. Iconic set pieces and Dinos from the movies. Worried about the length of the game and story?

• Phantom Blade Zero •
- Fast paced combat, crouching tiger style combat with lots of DMC and Souls-Like enemies. Deep dive coming in Summer 2026. Very excited for this one!

• Dune Awakening •
- Not for me, looks good for Dune fans. Crafting elements and base building, 3rd person combat with skill trees and character customisation options.

• Dynasty Warriors 3 Remastered •
- looks nice but getting tired of the remasters flying off the shelves, even as a dynasty warriors fan I think I will pass on this. Nothing new or gripping here.

• No Rest For The Wicked •
- PC Port, souls-like ARPG. Diablo fans will likely be happy with this. One for me to check out more on before deciding.

• Onimusha Way of The Sword •
- Looks very Sekiro in terms of combat but mix of magic and faster combat. Interesting characters presented and monsters look varied.

Environments look intriguing, story seems to present a gripping emotional tale. One to keep an eye on but looks worth a play.

Demo also available now!

• Silent Hill Townfall •
- Strong psychological horror vibes, usual Silent Hill tropes but set as a first person experience. Looks to be leaning more towards puzzles, stealth and exploration rather than combat heavy. Definitely one I will be covering on the channel 😜

• Ace Combat 8 Wings of Theve •
- Not long completed Ace Combat 7 on the channel and absolutely loved it. This looks to pick up the pace in every aspect, graphics and planes look super realistic, diverse story and immersive physics. Definitely a winner 😎

• Stuntman Hollywood •
- Fast and Furious fans dream. Didn't show much actual gameplay but Knight Rider was included and I lost my 💩 🤣 Other notable mentions were the car from back to the future. Interesting concept. Intrigued to see what length the game is and where it will go story-wise.

• ILL •
- Strong horror with lots of gore, mental enemies and heavy in your face action. It's giving metro, outlast and resident evil vibes. 1st person survival horror shooter. Dark, Gory and a bit psychological re the enemies and environments.

• Control Resonant •
- Physics look incredible including being able to bend the environments and using mind altering powers. Very Inception-like, lots of neo-dystopian vibes. Some elements remind me of Alan Wake. Hope the combat is as strong as the first game.

• Marathon Nightfall Update (Season 2) •
- Bungie really struggling 🤣 hard pass. Small group of die hard fans out there but it's not for me. Don't like the aesthetics, UI or small maps. Gunplay is excellent but everything else feels generic. Lots of bullet sponge enemies too.

• Playstation Plus Updates •
- Runescape Dragon Dragonwilds (co-op action adventure).
- Gitaroo Man (classics)
- PSI OPS (classics)
- Onimusha Dawn of Dreams (classics)

• Until Dawn 2 •
- Yes you read that right!!!! Stunning graphics, realistic facial animations, dark pictures game on an island with a killer on the loose. Looks like it could be good fun, multiple decisions and endings. Interesting to see if and how this ties into the first game.

• God of War Laufey •
- Nothing else to say other than WOW!! You take on the role of Kratos' wife Faye after she is cremated and her Spirit is now in another realm. Trying to return back to him and visions of him shown throughout the gameplay.
More fluid movement and set in a beautiful mosaic/Earth type of realm. Hinted at the end she is in Egyptian Mythology Lore-Wise but not confirmed.

She also has plant type powers and started slapping fools with a sword and some slick earth magic. Her Sword also reminds me of the green destiny from crouching tiger hidden dragon!
Very little was given away story-wise but it looks incredible and I'm quite excited to see how this weaves into the God of War Universe.

Overall a solid state of play and plenty here to be excited about 👍🏻

Fresh off the back of a full game walkthrough and 100% completion in Saros, alongside closing the Portal in Black Mesa, we are heading into new and uncharted territory as we dust off our plasma rifle and animal care qualifications!!

Been a while since we done a chilled livestream, but we are keeping it mixed as we head into space on an exterminating mission for the Xenomorphs in Aliens: Dark Descent.

We will also be spending some time at the local family BBQ as we try and build the greatest Zoo ever seen in Planet Zoo. Does Jay have what it takes to keep that Koala in check?

After 22 hours and a couple of painful trophies... "Untouchable" to name one - complete a biome without taking ANY damage?! 😭😭

However, perseverance, twitching, and a lot of jedi meditation later, we have now nabbed the Platinum Trophy on Saros! 🏆😎

An incredible game and some equally awesome bosses, gameplay and aesthetics.

Check out the full playthrough if you missed it 👍🏻 either way, it was a game of the year contender for sure.
