ROAD SAFETY WEEK
Every year, the National Road Safety Week is celebrated from January 11 to 17 Organised by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
The week intends to spread awareness around road safety.
Every single day there are 5 lakh people dying due to road accidents all over the nation.
With view to spread awareness of Road Safety, Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) conducted program on 13/01/2023 at KSRTC
Program was inaugurated by Chief Guest Smt. P V Sneha - DCP Crime and Traffic, Belagavi.

Mr. PY Nayak Divisional Controller, Dr. Devagouda I and others were present for this program.
During this event, Mr. Shivanand Magdum spoke about Road Safety importance,
DCP PV Sneha spoke about prevention and safety measures of Road Accidents.
Dr.Devagouda Orthopaedic Surgeon and MD Shree Ortho and Trauma Centre, presented talk on Prevention of Road Accidents, Identification of victims( Minor and Serious injuries), When accident occurs how to do First Aid and Emergency management of victims and how to mobilize the victims to safe place untill help arrives.
In this Program Dr Devagouda announced that Shree Ortho and Trauma Centre in collaboration with IMA- Belagavi Branch, Rotary Club Belgavi South will be releasing a video of Prevention of Road Accidents and importance of Safe Driving.
