A competition can be many things: an endpoint, a challenge, a milestone. But for those who took part, it became something more.

Beyond the results, it was about discipline, preparation, and the courage to step on stage and share your music. It was about growth—learning to handle pressure, gaining insight from feedback, and discovering new levels in your playing.

Most of all, it was about the community—hearing each other, supporting one another, and being reminded why we do this in the first place. In the end, it becomes clear that the experience goes far beyond rankings or prizes.

Congratulations to all the winners, and to every participant who gave their time, effort, and heart to this experience.

Even so, it’s important to remember: prize or not, you became a better version of yourself than before you joined. And whatever you plan to do in the future, don’t let other people’s limitations decide what you can or cannot do.

This competition will not define your value as an artist. It is only one opinion on how you performed that day—just a single moment in a much longer journey.

What truly matters is what you choose to do after this—how you continue to grow, create, and move forward.

Thank you to everyone who supported the event in any way. We hope to do this again next year, and I am truly grateful to the PIMA team for making this possible and for all the work behind the scenes.

The competition may be over, but the progress—and the music—continues.

That’s a wrap!

We’ve just finished video recording a selection of pieces on historic guitars from the GTY Collection, featuring instruments by José Ramírez, Hermann Hauser, Daniel Friederich, Miguel Rodríguez, and Antonio Torres.

Huge thanks to Sir Greg for letting us use these incredible instruments and for providing the venue. Thanks as well to Vincent Paul G. Tan and Roneil Santos for taking charge of the shoot.

We’re really excited to share the final videos with you.
And now we edit. We’ll keep you posted!
