New arrivals! I can't believe how clean these covers are the LPs aren't that bad ether. Lots of light scratches and scuffs but nothing serious. Going to record these in a couple of days and post to the website. Still haven't decided if I want to keep them. If there's enough interest, I'll post them on the eBay store. Or DM me.

The next 45 video coming up is from a local Sacramento band "Th' Losin Streaks". I've had the pleasure of meeting and talking vinyl stuff with band member Tim Foster. The band recently released a split 45 single. The story of how it all came to be is quite interesting. I personally love this 45 and wanted to bring it to the channel for all to experience it and learn about the band. I'll let Tim tell the story of how this 45 came to be. We've talked about our song 'Mangalore,' from our new split single, but the real reason this record even exists is on the flip: 'Fish' by Planet of the Tapes.

Planet of the Tapes are a New Zealand outfit, part of the @stinkmagnetic label scene clustered around the ever-mysterious Tapewolf. The label released a KILLER LP of 'South Pacific Surf Trash' a few years back, and we obsessed with trying to track down a copy in the states... after months of no luck we settled for a digital download from Bandcamp.

Hands down, our fave cut was 'Fish,' Planet of the Tapes' cover of a song by The Clean. To our surprise, it turned out that 'Fish' was a bonus track for the download and was NOT on the LP. We knew this track NEEDED to exist on vinyl - Wheels started turning.

We reached out to Stink Magnetic and asked if they would consider letting us use 'Fish' on a split 45 from Jinx (@rockinrecords )... they gave us the green light and off everything went to the pressing plant..... and a YEAR later we got a record!

Earlier this month we heard the sad news that Hamish Kilgour of The Clean had died. He and his mates made some incredible noise and we're honored to have a tiny connection to his legacy with this record. 🖤
