Currently editing a new video/vlog of my time in Andijan, Uzbekistan 🇺🇿 and once it’s up, I guess that’s a wrap for Uzbekistan and back to Indonesia videos that was shelved back abit. In case you’re wondering why we take a long time to upload new videos, it’s a one person show (for now). Hasyim helps to film Singapore food tour vlogs and I do all the editing on top of juggling my micro patisserie biz and working with a local university. New video is up, I may have two more videos on the line before I wrap up Uzbekistan’s Episodes. Actually on hindsight, the main reason to browse for a flight ticket and started this crazy research on a new country I’ve never been to was all about PLOV🍴
Food forms a strong core memory! I had plov before in Arslanbob, Krygysztan 🇰🇬 cooked by an uzbek in a home village there in 2013 and ever since I really wanted to try to replicate it but didn’t know the steps. So I was so fortunate to learn firsthand (both theory and practicum 😂) through Bekjon’s mum.

New video will be posted tonight at 7pm local time (GMT+8) / Uzbek 4pm (GMT+5) / Indonesia 6pm (GMT+7). The plan was to include all the parts of the uzbek cuisine and the market walk in this episode but had to split them into two separate videos. I’m more excited to show the second part of Bukhara episode, meanwhile set your reminders to watch it later.
