Another side-by-side from January 5 to today.
My trend weight is 213.8 lbs.
Sleep has been solid.
Calories are consistent.
Water intake is up — though I didn’t track it yesterday.
This isn’t complicated — but it is hard to do.
I’ve messed something up every single day, and you probably will too. You’re human.
The goal isn’t perfection — it’s trying for it, and accepting it when you fall short.
Stay the course. Keep showing up.

Progress photo update: January 5 ➝ February 6.
There are definitely noticeable changes — and I still have a long way to go.
I can’t emphasize this enough: consistency and persistence matter more than anything, especially on the hard days. The days you feel like you’re white-knuckling it. The days your goal feels a million miles away.
Those are the days that actually count.
Stay the course.
Do whatever you need to do to get through them — write affirmations, watch a pep talk, scroll a Facebook group, talk to a coach, even ask ChatGPT to gas you up.
Just don’t quit.
The hard days aren’t forever. They’re part of the process.
And if you stay consistent, you’re probably closer than you think.

I hit 60 straight days of stretching.
Then I lost the rhythm.
Not because it stopped being important.
Because I didn’t set it up for the long haul.
This reset is about flexibility, joint health, and being able to move well decades from now.
Monday to Friday. Sustainable. Intentional.

January 5 vs today. Same lighting. Different outcome.
Today the scale read 212.6, bringing my trend weight to 214.3. What matters more than the number is what led to it.
I increased calories and didn’t see immediate results. For over a week, progress looked flat. This is where most people panic or quit.
Instead, I waited.
This update is about trusting a calorie change long enough to let it work, managing expectations around fitness, and changing training when enjoyment drops.
I’m also setting a new personal goal. 20 strict pull-ups. Something I’ve never achieved before.
If you’re in a stalled phase right now, this is your reminder to stay patient.

I’m trending well after a month, and adding calories back in has made a huge difference.
I’m no longer white-knuckling it, which is massive from a mental standpoint and makes this far more sustainable.
My workouts feel fueled again.
I don’t have to force myself into the gym as much, and once I’m there I don’t feel completely depleted. Huge win.
It’s also given me more flexibility with food — which, honestly, means I don’t have to eat egg whites anymore. And that alone might be worth it because they’re gross.
I’ve made real progress this month: down 5 pounds, 15 to go.
This entire series has been about consistency and persistence. I’ve shown you where I’ve messed things up and what my body actually looks like in real time — no special lighting, no posing.
And I still feel like I have a long way to go… because I do.
At this pace, I’m probably another 15 weeks from my goal.
That means I need to keep reminding myself to be patient.
But more importantly, I need to start thinking beyond the weight-loss phase. The next goal is maintenance.
I don’t love tracking all these metrics, but I’ll need to keep doing some version of this once I hit 200 — otherwise the weight just creeps back on. And that’s something you need to start internalizing too.
Losing 20 pounds is a big deal.
Keeping it off for years and decades matters way more.
Stay consistent.
