I am Thegn Sir Magnus Ulfgarsson. Knight of An Tir in the Society for Creative Anachronism.
I reside in the Principality of Tir Righ, a Principality in An Tir's North.
I was Knighted in 2014 then almost immediately had surgery on my right shoulder, it having held on just long enough for me to join the Chivalry.
Poor rehab while having some success early on left handed would have me stay sinister. I have no doubt that the fighter I am today would run through the one that was Knighted many years ago.
Over the years I have recorded a lot of video of my journey in our strange and wonderful little martial art we call Rattan Combat.
As of this writing on October 5th 2025, I sit as Prince of Tir Righ.

I'm going to be a little annoying and do some posts regularly here so people are on the ball when my Gorget contest goes live. I think the easiest way to do it is to organize a video release where people comment on it and are immediately entered into a draw.
Since there was so much interest right away for this first one, depending on growth of this channel I may do more.
With that in mind, have your notifications set to ALL so you can get in on the FREE LOOT, also I may start doing more contests on my Dark Horse Workshop channel soon, so follow me over there.

Did you guys know I have a couple of old armor patterns up on my Patreon for FREE? I like my new versions better but figured they should at least have somewhere they're free for people.

I am doing a draw for a FREE Gorget once I hit 1000 subscribers. I assume most people don't have notifications turned on, and I also assume that out of those 1000 people this channel has maybe been forgotten about by a bunch.
What I don't want to do is draw a name only to have it not responded to, and in turn need to draw another name and another name etc. etc.
Because of this, go to one of my videos, click the bell 🔔icon and turn your notifications to ALL, since YouTube otherwise has them completely algorithm based.
Lastly... I will probably just draw a big list of names and give people a week to respond, the top draw that responds, wins the gorget.
