Yesterday, I had the opportunity to drive 2 hours to see “The Odyssey” in IMAX 70mm, and it was an experience I quite possibly will never forget. There is nothing that compares to seeing Nolan’s new epic projected on a massive six story tall screen, and it truly reminded me of the power of the cinematic experience. I took a break from reviews this past week to take a little vacation, but I couldn’t pass up a visit to an old movie set along the way! So excited to have crossed off a bucket list item of mine, which was visiting the abandoned movie set of Spectre from the 2003 Tim Burton film “Big Fish”! The set itself is located on the tiny island of Jackson Lake Island in Millbrook, Alabama, and it’s such a transformative and vibrant experience to walk through the remnants of this town. If you’re ever in the area, highly recommend stopping off to visit this one!

I just spent the last 5 days in Austin, Texas for SXSW 2026, and I’m still processing how incredible of an experience this was! Hey everyone! Just wanted to provide a little update in relation to a review schedule for this week! I’m covering the Sundance Film Festival this year as accredited press (which is a dream come true) from Wednesday through Sunday, which means I’ll be hard at work screening over thirty new indie films from varying genres! This means that unfortunately I will not be able to post timely review coverage on this week’s new releases (Send Help and Iron Lung), but I will be reviewing and covering them the following week (as well as posting my full Sundance coverage as well.) Hope you all enjoy it!
