Live ham radio satellite QSOs, gear reviews, and roving adventures from Grid FM05gi in North Carolina.
I'm WA1JAY, an Amateur Extra Class operator with a passion for making contacts via satellite. I first got licensed as a Novice in 1997 and have been active on and off ever since. While I enjoy operating across many bands and modes, satellite communication is where I feel most at home.
Most of my videos feature real-time QSOs using FM and SSB satellites, along with occasional tutorials and gear reviews to help fellow hams get on the birds. I also document my portable operations and roving trips β including activations from Paradise Island in the Bahamas (Grid FL14), where Iβve been operating since 2000 using HF QRP and satellites.
Whether you're a seasoned operator or just curious about working satellites, I hope you find something here that inspires your next contact!
