How I Got My First 1,000 Spotify Streams!

It's pretty simple actually - I found a genuine source of organic traffic - listeners that were already interested in my sound.

How, you might ask?

I got in touch with Spotify playlist curators through ‪@groovermusic‬, a TOP Spotify playlist pitching platform.

What do I like about it:

1. You get to own email contacts of many of the curators that communicate with you on the platform. This is great because you can reach out to them later on a more personal level without using the platform

2. Flexible budget - the minimum cost of getting a curator to listen to your song is 2 Grooviz (approx. 2 euros) and you're able to plan how best to leverage your investment.

3. Refunds - Groover guarantees that your music is at least given a listen and feedback. If a curator does not get back to you within a certain amount of time, your Grooviz are refunded.

4. The "Promise to share" feature - a curator may not be able to share your song this month but if they like your song, they can promise to share it at a later date and Groover will remind them within a pre-determined period.


Let's be real though:

Because these are organic listeners, you won't get 1,000 streams instantly - it took me a couple of months as well, but they still keep flowing in!
