Pete’s Cornish Garden

A light hearted chronicle of my journey to becoming a gardener. The ups and downs and what I learn along the way, a video diary to look back on in years to come. The main emphasis is having a laugh and enjoying the journey.

The best part of the evening after doing my watering routine. Picking strawberries and sweet peas to take home.

20 days after first starting to build their nest, we now have 5 swallows eggs. It’s been a tough few weeks, their nest fell down, I put in a few screws in to help them get a grip, that didn’t work for long and in the end I had to screw a bit of wood underneath the nest to keep it in place. It was all worthwhile though, because now we have eggs, and hopefully soon some chicks, I’ll keep you posted. 🪺🪺👍

Thank you to whoever suggested feeding my strawberry plants with tomato feed, they are the best I’ve ever had. ☀️🍓👍

The swallows are starting to build their nest in the new stables, so I put a few screws in, just so they have a bit of a key to build around, then hopefully it will stay put it’s lovely to have them return to nest.

Attempted a willow harlequin tree today, eventually, it should look like the ones in the second picture, just got to keep the stem bare.
