Hey everyone — I just wanted to be real with you all for a minute.
I know the live streams have been a bit sporadic lately, and I’m really sorry for that. My internet has been… honestly, just awful recently, and it’s been making it tough to keep a stable, reliable stream going.
I take this channel seriously, and I don’t like putting out something that cuts out, lags, or isn’t dependable — especially when some of you rely on it for real-time info.
I’m working on getting this sorted as quickly as I can. In the meantime, I truly appreciate your patience and support more than you know.
We’ll get back to consistent, solid streams — just need a little time to fix what’s out of my control right now.
— @OnTheScanner Stay safe. Stay aware.

Cold Weather Advisory in Effect for Northampton County, PA — What You Need to Know
A Cold Weather Advisory is currently in effect for Northampton County, Pennsylvania, issued by the National Weather Service (Mount Holly office). The advisory remains active until 10:00 AM EST Sunday, February 1, 2026.
This alert is issued when dangerously cold air and wind chill values create a real risk of cold-related illness and infrastructure issues — especially during overnight and early morning hours.
What Conditions Are Expected
Forecast data for the county shows:
Wind chills as low as –15°F
Air temperatures in the single digits to teens
Increased risk during overnight and pre-sunrise hours
Prolonged exposure can quickly become dangerous without proper protection
Wind chill measures how cold it feels on exposed skin when wind is factored in — and at these levels, frostbite can occur faster than many people expect.
Primary Risks
Residents should take this advisory seriously. The main hazards include:
Frostbite on exposed skin
Hypothermia with extended outdoor exposure
Increased danger for elderly residents and medically vulnerable individuals
Risk to outdoor pets and livestock
Frozen or burst household pipes
How to Protect Yourself and Your Household
Personal Safety
Limit time outdoors where possible
Wear layered clothing, insulated outerwear, gloves, and face covering
Cover exposed skin in windy conditions
Avoid long periods outside without breaks indoors
Protect Pets & Vulnerable Neighbors
Bring pets indoors whenever possible
Check on elderly neighbors, disabled residents, and anyone without reliable heat
Prevent Frozen Pipes Cold snaps like this commonly lead to pipe failures. Take preventive steps:
Let faucets drip slowly to keep water moving
Open cabinet doors under sinks to allow warm air circulation
Keep home heat set consistently — avoid deep overnight setbacks
Insulate exposed pipes if possible
Know where your main water shutoff is located in case of emergency
Stay Weather-Aware
Conditions and advisory windows can change as forecasts are refined. Continue monitoring official National Weather Service updates for Northampton County and surrounding areas.
@OnTheScanner will continue to share verified alerts and safety information as conditions develop.
