Kicking off Summerween the only way I know how…planning Halloween projects. 🎃🖤

I spotted these little jack-o’-lantern pails on Walmart.com for 99¢ each and couldn’t resist bringing them home.

I’ve been feeling really inspired to create more of my own Halloween decor this year instead of just buying it. My current idea is to turn these into vintage-inspired papier-mâché decorations, including:

🎃 A classic jack-o’-lantern
🐈‍⬛ A black cat
😈 A little devil
👻 A ghost… or maybe a witch (I still haven’t decided!)

We’ll see if I can pull it off! 😅

I am beyond thrilled with the changes coming to Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress.

It’s in the name itself — progress — and it feels so fitting that it’s finally being updated.

Reading through the details honestly got me emotional. The inclusion of Walt Disney in the updates, beginning in the 1960s with the moon landing — such an important and hopeful moment for humanity. Then moving into Halloween night of 1985 (my birth year!), and eventually into the new millennium. It just feels right.

That spirit of optimism, innovation, family, and looking toward the future is exactly what Walt envisioned when he created this attraction, and it feels like they truly understand that.

I’m not really a Disney parks person anymore, I simply grew out of going regularly, but Disney still holds such a special place in my heart. This is one of the best updates they’ve announced in a very long time.

Wonderful.

These Tiffany-style lamps have been with my mama for about 15 years. 🖤

Mama sent these photos over to me. She’s the witchy woman I got my spookiness from, and we’ve always been thick as thieves — thrifting together, hunting for hidden gems and enjoying it all.

Now that we’re moving out of state, these lamps are coming with me. It just feels like time.

They remind me so much of my mama, of “home”, of all those little moments spent together wandering antique stores and thrift shops looking for treasure.
And that means more to me than the lamps themselves ever could.

Taking a small break from the chaos of moving and house showings next week to do something fun. 👻🕯️

I’ll be heading back to the May-Stringer House for their nighttime ghost tour and I seriously cannot wait to bring you guys along with me.

I previously took their history tour and absolutely fell in love with the house itself, the Victorian architecture, and the rich old Florida history surrounding it.

The May-Stringer House dates back to the 1800s and is considered one of Florida’s most haunted homes, with decades of paranormal stories tied to the property.

So naturally… now I have to experience it after dark. ✨
