Meet the Juries of the Selecția Națională 2026 🇷🇴
Today, TVR has revealed the names of the 7 juries that will have the difficult task of choosing which songs will compete at Selecția Națională 2026, as well as deciding who will be the winner and the Romanian representative at Eurovision this year!
The Jury panel consists of members from all aspects and perspectives of the music industry, comprising the qualities of composers, conductors, producers, hosts and journalists under one roof.
The juries of the Selecția Națională 2026 are, in presentation order:
- Andreea Balan, artist
- Andrei Tudor Official, music composer, conductor and University professor
- Marius Dia, composer, producer and A&R
- Monoir, musical producer
- Elena Popa, media journalist, lead singer of the Yolo Band
- Doru Ionescu, journalist
- Cristian Marica Rădoi, journalist.

The Schedule for the Selecția Națională 2026 has been revealed 🇷🇴
Romanian broadcaster TVR has published its rulebook for the upcoming Selecția Națională, the National Final that will be the method of selecting the Romanian representative at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna!
Starting today, TVR has begun the Registration period in which artists from across Romania and beyond can submit a composition that could potentially become Romania's next entry!
Artists and composers who wish to submit an entry to the selection can do so by accessing TVR's Eurovision Romania website and completing the form with all the relevant information. It can be found here:

Once submitted, the song will go through a process of election by a jury panel that will decide who goes through to the Preselection phase, followed by the Semi-Finals of the show and ultimately to the Grand Final.
The winner of the Grand Final will have the right and honor of representing Romania on the 70th Anniversary year of the Eurovision Song Contest!

Selecția Națională is back for 2026 as the selection method for the Romanian representative at the Eurovision Song Contest! 🇷🇴
Romanian broadcaster TVR has announced the return of the selection method during its news bulletin yesterday evening, marking the beginning of preparations for the journey to Vienna!

@ageofadonxs to represent Czechia 🇨🇿 at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025
Today, the Czech broadcaster Česká televize has announced 29 year old Adam Pavlovčin as the 2025 Czech representative at the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland.
ADONXS is a well known figure on the Czech-Slovak music scene and has been in the spotlight ever since he won the Česko Slovenská SuperStar in 2021.
He has been awarded multiple awards and nominations in Slovakia and Czechia for his music, his artistry and his advocacy for the LGBTQ+ rights and exposure, including a decisive victory in the online competition organized by the @infenetwork3229 , the @INFEVision Video Contest.

Today it was announced that Bratislava has been chosen as the 2023 Host City of the INFEVision Video Contest that will be taking place in Slovakia after the win of ADONXS with the song "Moving On" last year in TImișoara!

Here is an update on Romania's 2024 Eurovision Song Contest participation in Malmö, Sweden 👇
As we previously revealed, the Romanian broadcaster TVR is facing some financial difficulties and has been reported to be withdrawing from the contest for the upcoming edition in Sweden.
As we uncover now, the decision of budget rectification needs to be sent to the Minister of Finance for update so that TVR can be able to continue its "minimal level of operation".
The decision taken on the 31st of August 2023 affects the Eurovision participation directly, as without the approval of the President-General Director, the green light to compete cannot be given.
The decision lays solely in the President of TVR's hands.
