Travel makes us feel alive - escape the daily 9 to 5!
Hi! We are Allan and Maria and we both love to travel more than anything - in particular seeking out exotic wildlife, tropical islands and spicy local food. We also like to throw in the odd activity which we're probably too old for, but can't resist the challenge!
Now that we're retired/semi-retired, we're trying to explore even more of the world and hope that our experiences will help others plan their travels to find the best places to stay and visit. We prefer to stay in small and quirky places rather than big corporate hotels and Maria is a bit of a demon for finding hidden gems.
Our name comes from Allan detesting bananas, which he insists on declaring when asked about dietary requirements!
