I need to be honest with you all about something that's been weighing on me...

YouTube has changed — and not in a way that's been kind to smaller creators like me.

The home screen layout has been quietly redesigned. Where you used to see rows of videos- 4 thumbnails in a row, it's now 3 — because Shorts are being pushed front and centre. That means my videos, the ones I pour hours of work into, are getting buried. You have to scroll just to find them.

And the algorithm? Unless you're actively searching for a specific topic or you regularly watch a particular channel, YouTube simply won't show you their latest uploads anymore. It's not showing you what you're subscribed to — it's showing you what it wants you to watch.

I'm still getting views. I'm still getting subscribers. And I'm genuinely proud of the content I'm making right now — honestly, I think it's the best work I've ever put out. But the numbers don't reflect that, and I know I'm not alone. So many creators are feeling this.

Bowie is gone. And no matter how good the new Labyrinth film is — no matter how dark, how strange, how beautifully crafted — there will always be a Goblin King-shaped hole at the centre of it.

That's not a criticism. That's just the reality of what they're attempting.

So the question isn't whether someone can fill Bowie's shoes. Nobody can. The question is whether the film is brave enough to not even try.
