Something special for the New Year 📢

Join me for a peaceful early morning autumn walk through Buscot, a picturesque English village nestled along the River Thames in Oxfordshire. We'll stroll past the historic Buscot Lock as the autumn sunrise paints the water in golden hues, with only the gentle sounds of birdsong and nature to accompany us.
Buscot is a charming village with roots stretching back to Saxon times, mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086. The village is perhaps best known for Buscot Park, an elegant 18th-century estate now owned by the National Trust, and its famous weir and lock system on the Thames. The area has long been a haven for artists and nature lovers, with its unspoiled countryside and riverside walks offering a glimpse of timeless rural England.

As we walk, you'll see misty fields dotted with grazing cows, autumn leaves carpeting the towpath, and the peaceful Thames reflecting the dawn sky. This is the English countryside at its most serene and perfect for relaxation, meditation, or simply escaping the noise of everyday life.

Last Monday I visited Bourton-on-the-Water, often called the "Little Venice of the Cotswolds" – and it was a beautiful 24°C summer’s day! The village was full of life, with people enjoying the River Windrush, the little stone bridges, and that classic Cotswolds charm.

Of course, I couldn’t resist stopping for a homemade ice cream from Cotswolds Ice Cream. I went for rum & raisin and it was a solid 10/10 (probably the best I’ve ever had!). Honestly, I wanted to take the whole ice cream cart home haha.

Come and take a walk with me through this charming spot – I think you’ll love the atmosphere as much as I did!
