Formerly known as "Hiking with Braids" ✿ As much as I liked my trail name "Braids," I wanted to change my channel to my real name to allow myself the opportunity to show my full authentic self and not hide behind a persona or niche. There's so much more I have to share with you - hiking, backpacking, tattoos, travel, cooking, spooky shit - I could go on... sometimes it'll be exciting and sometimes...well, life is just life - but I hope you'll come along with me for the ride. I'll try to keep it interesting or at the very least entertaining. Change can definitely be scary, but embracing who we are can lead to new opportunities and personal growth. I'm ready to grow. ✌️ 🫶
⛺️ And yeah, one time I hiked 2,193 miles on this really long trail... #AT2020

Help! I’m working on a “ How I plan” video but not sure which I should do (or at least what I should do first). Which are you most interested in watching?

As I eluded to in my previous post I’ve been struggling lately and my post on Instagram goes into a little more detail but I thought it was time to push myself out of this funk and start by doing a live chat with y’all. I’d like to talk a little more about what I’ve been going through, what I’ve been working on lately and what my hiking goals are for 2022 and of course answer any of your questions as I have a few of my own for you too.
How about we meet back here this Monday, February 21st at 7 PM ET? Hope you’ll join me!

Oh hi there! 👋 I know its been a hot minute since I posted a new video, but to be completely honest, I've been in a pretty low creative slump lately. I would like to get out of this funk and back to making regular videos again, but I could really use your input (and maybe a little motivation to help me get back at it). What kind of videos would you like to see and be most interested in watching?
(The more suggestions the merrier) *wink wink*

Hi all! I need your help. I’ve worked tirelessly over the past 8 months working several 16 hour days to make this documentary a reality. Truth is - it’s also my last ditch effort to grow my channel. I need your help to get this video to gain momentum with the algorithm. If you haven’t yet, please LIKE and LEAVE A COMMENT on the documentary video - I’d love to know your thoughts. Also the longer you watch the more that helps too. 🤗
I’m asking this of my community because my analytics show not many subscribers watch my videos and since getting off trail my viewership has dropped significantly. I’ve been debating whether it’s time to quit YouTube as I see many other channels continuing to grow so maybe I’m just not providing worthy content anymore.
Thank you for your help and for supporting my channel! 💜

I need your help!
I normally post videos on Sunday but with football taking up the weekends, I’m thinking to change up my posting day.
What day during of the week do you typically watch the most on YouTube?

Today at 2 PM EST I start a new video series called “My Favorite Things on the Appalachian Trail” - first up, my favorite hostels and hotels. I’ll be doing a new video each week for the next several weeks and will try to release them on Friday or Sunday. Today’s video took a little longer to make so it was a little delayed. Happy Monday! 😁
