APRC No-Alliance requested Lawyer Darboe to make a stop in Foni on his way to the inauguration opening of Kwinella Bureau yesterday. They didn’t hide their open admiration and respect for the party leader for his leadership, commitment and consistency not just as a party leader but as a senior patriotic citizen.
Alagie Jeng former Finance Director of Brikama Area Council confirmed that BAC took a loan of D10 million from Ecobank with an interest of D2.4m payable within 24 months. The money was meant to furnish their office.

-August 13th, 2018 D288,000 was paid to 36 Councilors as honorarium. -August 13th, 2018 D225,000 as short term loan -September 2020, 25,000 paid to Ward Councilor Lamin Jarju as support for the purchase of a car engine for the Councilor’s private car. -August 2022, 98,000 was paid to Councilor Momodou Lamin Sanyang as Honorarium.
Jeng claim the honorariums were paid to show appreciation “for a work done”, by the councilors; referring to the Councilors going round to collect tax from vendors during the “wanterr” or sales periods leading up to Tobaski and Koriteh.
