Welcome! We're Amelia and JP. We left the U.S. in 2017 for a higher quality of life and a lower cost of living. Now, we can help you fast track your move abroad, whether you want to expat in one country, or slow travel for a while.
Thanks for watching our videos! We're so glad you're here!

We had so many questions on our last video about why we didn't include Panama in our shortlist for second residency that I'm going to explain the reasons in today's newsletter. You can sign up for that here: ameliaandjp.com/newsletter/?src=ytc

We didn’t know what to expect when we posted our comeback video… and the response has meant more to us than we can put into words.
Thank you so much for the kindness, encouragement, and support. Reading your comments reminded us why we started this channel in the first place.
Over the years, so many of you have become part of our extended global family. We never take that for granted.
We’re excited (and a little nervous) about this new chapter, but your messages made us feel like we’re not walking into it alone.
Thank you for sticking with us. More adventures ahead. 😊

We’ve been getting a lot of questions asking where we’ve been and why we haven't been posting videos recently. Thanks for checking in. We really appreciate it.
Over the past few months we’ve taken a step back from YouTube, and it’s been a really positive reset for us.
We’ve been focusing on other projects and parts of our life that feel more aligned right now, so regular videos are unlikely for the foreseeable future.
We’re really grateful to everyone who has watched and followed along with us over the years. We may pop in occasionally, and we're still sharing photos and updates on Instagram, but for now, we’re enjoying a slower pace.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hope you had a nice day of football, food, family and friends! We’re enjoying a little downtime on the beach before we head back to the eastern hemisphere. The sunrise this morning was maravilloso 😎

The Leap to Tirana, Albania is officially open for booking! 🥳
Leap Dates: Apr 11-25, 2026
Leap Details & Cost: ameliaandjp.com/leaps/tirana/
Tirana is one of our favorite cities so we're really excited to share it with you. We'll enjoy the coffee culture at streetside cafes, take long walks in Tirana Lake Park, and maybe even take a day trip to Durres on the coast or Kruje to see the 5th century castle ruins. There's so much to do, we may have trouble fitting it all in!
We expect this small group trip to sell out quickly, so join us in the Turtle Travel Club and submit your booking request now 🐢

Six sweaty Turtles 🐢🥵 made it to the lookout at the Metropolitan Natural Park today here in Panama City. We saw monkeys, a green iguana, a toucan, a baby sloth, and lots of birds and ants. It's Flashback Friday: From Granada, we took the train to Málaga, Spain (https://youtu.be/XYkYpXvktkM) and ended up right in the middle of Christmas season. The lights were spectacular, but wow, the crowds! Luckily, the city has this massive pedestrian area, which made exploring on foot super easy. And yes…we found an Indian restaurant and ate there WAY too many times!
When you travel, do you go with the crowds or try to avoid them?
