COMMISSIONER’S TASK FORCE APPREHENDED PSEUDO POLICE WHO WAS EXTORTING MONEY BY POSING AS POLICE OFFICER

Based on credible information, the sleuths of the Commissioner’s Task Force, North Zone Team, Hyderabad City, along with Gandhi Nagar Police, apprehended a pseudo police, Sunny Jadhav, who was posing as a Police and extorting money from victims.

 Details of Accused person: -
Jadhav Sunny s/o Jadhav Bheem Rao, age: 35 years r/o. Parsigutta, Secundrabad.

 Facts of the case :

Sunny Jadhav, the accused, resides in Parsigutta, Hyderabad, and works as an insurance agent for Renew Buy Insurance Company in Somajiguda. Driven by his addiction to online gambling and horse racing, he found his salary insufficient to support his extravagant lifestyle. In the year 2017 as case was registered against him in PS Madhapur for extorting money by posing himself as Police Officer. To meet his expenses, he devised a plan targeting customers who booked call girls at star hotels in Hyderabad city. Posing as a police officer, he would display a police ID card on his mobile phone, which he had obtained from a social media group. He then threatened these customers with legal action and public exposure unless they paid him money.
In the month of February 2023, Sunny executed his plan at Hotel Marriott in Secunderabad. Approaching a victim, he introduced himself as a police officer, displaying the ID card photo on his mobile. He led the victim to the hotel’s terrace, where he blackmailed him, claiming to possess nude videos and threatening to expose them to the victim’s family. Demanding Rs. 5 lakhs, he collected the amount from the victim and also snatched a 2 Tula gold chain from the victim’s neck before escaping on his blue Activa. Subsequently, Sunny continued to harass and threaten the victim over the phone, extorted an additional 5 lakh rupees in multiple transactions, resulting in a total extortion of 10 lakh rupees and the gold chain.
Unable to bear the continuous harassment, the victim approached the police, leading to the stringent action by the Commissioner’s Task Force, North Zone Team, along with Gandhinagar Police, resulting in the apprehension of the accused.

The apprehension was carried out by SIs Srinivasulu Dasu, P. Gnanadeep, and B. Ashok Reddy of the North Zone Task Force along with team.

The sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, West Team Zone along with local police on credible information have busted one organized prostitution and immoral trafficking racket in the limits of Panjagutta PS and apprehended (02) Organizers, (03) Sub-Organizers, (01) Customer and rescued (06) Female victims.

 Brief about the case:
The accused K. Surya Kumari and K. Vijaya Sekhar Reddy are habitual prostitution and immoral trafficking organizers. K. Surya Kumari, a native of Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, has been previously involved in 16 cases registered under the PITA Act. In the year 2020, the PD Act was also invoked against her by Rachakonda Police for indulging in such illegal activities.
In the present case, the accused were discovered to have been engaging women victims from different states including Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, and Tripura and providing them housing in different lodges or individual houses across West zone area. The accused Shekar Reddy through online platforms has created a database of customers who are contacted and female victims are arranged to meet them at the desired location of the customer or he books a lodge where the customer can visit. Surya Kumari uses various payment methods and logins to transact with the customers thereby concealing her original identity.
On credible information, a room at Park Hotel under Punjagutta PS limits was raided and the accused Kirthi Teja was apprehended along with the victim. Further, the different locations housing the victims were raided and the main organizers and sub-organizers as detailed above were arrested. Further investigation is underway

In this regard a case has been registered against them vide Cr.No. 574/2024 U/s 370,370A IPC & 3,4,5 PITA Act of PS Panjagutta.
The public are hereby cautioned to be vigilant when renting their properties and to verify the antecedents of the tenants. Further, the citizens of Hyderabad city are requested to inform the police as to any information of illegal trafficking and prostitution in their area.

Acoordination meeting was held by Hyderabad City Police Commissioner Sri Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy, IPS for forthcoming Bakrid. In this meeting Sri Vikram Singh Mann, Addl. CP, Law & Order, Sri V. Satyanarayana, Addl. CP,Head Quarters and Training and Ms. Amrapali, I.A.S., Incharge Commissioner, GHMC, Political Leaders, Moulvis, Qureshis, Ulemas, Police Officers of City Police and officials from waterworks, electricity and Animal Husbandry and Veterinary department have participated. The meeting was held at Salarjung Museum Auditorium.

CP, Hyderabad assured everyone about full cooperation from Police department for conducting peaceful Bakrid. He also assured all the participants that the rules & regulations will be followed and no one will be allowed to take the law into their hands. Details of Case:

On credible information, Police Panjagutta apprehended a customer who works for a Pvt. firm R/o Manikonda, Hyderabad when he engaged with a victim who has been trafficked for sexual exploitation in a hotel, Somajiguda, Hyderabad and seized one cell phone etc.. Based on his confession and victim statement the main organizers and pimp viz. 1) Surya Kumari 2) Vijaya Sekhar Reddy and 3) Arkojit Mukharjee were arrested in Madhura Nagar and Balkampet. During confession the accused persons confessed that they procure the victims from various parts of India such as West Bengal, Tripura, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana etc. through their agents, old contacts etc. They keep the victims in separate rented houses in Jubilee Hills, S.R. Nagar etc. and whenever the customers contact them directly or through their agents or pimps, etc. the organizers send them to the selected places of the customers.
To send the victims to the customers they get advance payment through phone pay etc. getting locations on whatsApp and send the victims in cabs etc. Sometimes the accused use their two wheelers and 4 wheelers to drop the victims at locations of the customers. Once the victims done with their work, they collect remaing money from the customer and go to their respective houses. Later the organizers collect the money from the victims, The daily expenditure for living of victims including house rent etc bear by the organizers only. At the instance of the accused total 6 victims who have been trafficked for sexual exploitation were rescued from Jubilee Hills and S.R. Nagar.
The main organizer Surya Kumari was detained under PD act on 06-10-2020 by the Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda as she involved in similar 15 cases between 2014 and 2020.
The accused had purchased 2 four wheeler and 2 two wheeler vehicles, lap tops, iPods, costly cell phones with the money earned by running brothel houses. Apart from the above items the Police seized Rs. 89500/- net cash, Passbooks, SIM cards, Debit/Credit cards copies of Aadhaar cards of various persons-15, Pan cards etc. from the accused.
The arrested accused persons were produced before the court for judicial remand and the trafficked victims were sent to rescue home through the Hon’ble Court.
In this case another two accused viz. 1) Ram Reddy @ Venkat Reddy and 2) Balraj are found absconding. Efforts are on to apprehend them.
