I'm a History major and used to be a writer for Watchmojo before they ran out of ideas and decided to try making vids of my own. I've written scripts, breaking news, and sports, but my passion has always been history since it molds the present and it's important for us to acknowledge we do not live in a vacuum.

It’s been 5 YEARS since the first video was uploaded to the channel! Thank you so much to everyone who came along for the journey!
From the channel’s very first comment asking if I was autistic, to YTs horrendous AI moderation error last month (ongoing but I have a lawyer now) it’s been such a great experience!

This demonetization nightmare began the morning of April 18th. I would please like a manual review of the channel. It is first and foremost EDUCATIONAL and is part of the Player for Education Program on YouTube!
If YouTube is listening, teachers and students from around the world watch my channel and it's helped professors convey info to students, help students themselves to pass exams, or just give the old-school documentary vibe of being transported to the past to learn how the world of yesteryear shapes the world of today.
It was meant to be a global project, introducing different audiences to histories they might not have any idea about or never come across. I wanted to teach people about Dynastic China, about the African Empires, the Pre-Columbian Americas, Persia throughout the ages, the wealth of history of the Subcontinent and Ancient Near East, Southeast Asia, and of course go deeper on European history that might have been missed or forgotten.
You are actively killing this passion and I have such guilt that my 220k subscribers have to live in limbo because of this.
For everyone else, I love you all and you can help support us as we have moved to X to continue the fight

It's now Day 6 or 7 that this 'Inauthentic Content' fiasco has been going on. I am mentally drained and still no answers. A multitude of bots will always beat a single human in a waiting game.
I would love to hear everyone's opinions on what they think the problem could be or other creators that this has hit recently.
IMO:
1. It clearly has nothing to do with AI as AI narration is specifically allowed and visual AI usage is minimal while 100% AI channels (education and otherwise) are still up and running ads.
2. I thought it might be my compilationsas I've created 2 in the past few months (One 7 Hour one about the entire history of Ancient Egypt and one shorter one about Greater Iran until the Islamic Conquest, maybe they are considered repetitive content?) , or my 24/7 looping livestream, but the e-mail I received said much of my content did not comply with their new policy, while that would just be 2-3 videos out of almost 200.
3. To creators screaming for Human reviews I don't think that would help either. There's no incentive for them to reverse the bot's decision. They kept the policy vague for a reason. instead of backpedaling they can just double down and win.

This includes content that looks like it's made with a template with little to no variation across videos, or content that's easily replicable at scale. Content that appears mass-produced or repetitive to increase views without adding significant educational or other value."
Even with the vague definition, still none of this applies to this channel, so at this point I'm all out of ideas on what it could be and if it's a bot error then they basically won the fight by hitting for 1HP damage and then running out the clock.
I'm just exhausted and will take the weekend to disappear and reassess. Love all you guys!

Did you know 100% AI slop history channels ARE STILL MONETIZED + memberships and running ads while this channel was a target? It's true! Go to one of their channels and test it out yourself!

The YT team reversed their decision on some larger channels but seems to have become more harsh on smaller ones as a consequence. I go to bed each night quite sad but every day I wake up with hope. We can fight this!

Hey everyone. I've got some incredibly frustrating news. The channel was just caught in an automated system error and falsely demonetized for 'Inauthentic Content.' The automated bots are rejecting my appeals, and despite showing them my massive Premiere Pro timelines and weeks of manual editing.
It's quite disheartening as my channel was part of the Player for Education program and viewed by teachers and students around the world. I've looked extensively at the Inauthentic Content tag.
"Our reviewers found that much of your content appears mass-produced or repetitive. This includes content that looks like it's made with a template with little to no variation across videos, or content that's easily replicable at scale. Content that appears mass-produced or repetitive to increase views without adding significant educational or other value."
My channel does not fit a single one of the criteria. It is not mass-produced (each video takes 3 weeks of 6-8 hour days). I do not have two videos on the same topic. Many comments prove it has educational value.
I need your help to get a real human at YouTube to look at this. If you have a minute, please click the link to my Twitter post below and simply Like or Retweet it. Your support is the only way to get this escalated to a real person so I can keep making these documentaries for you guys. Thank you for always having my back and I love you all!
