to the "football has won" crowd, FIFA have forced the entire world into going to Qatar for a World Cup, where nearly 7000 people died in the process of building the infrastructure for it. in addition to mass corruption and cronyism into actually getting the World Cup to be held there as well.
UEFA have also just passed the 36 team UCL, starting from 2024/25 which dilutes the competition and significantly hampers the product available and also forces 225 games to be played in their competition in the name of TV money. Also, they've just admitted they had an extra £4,000,000,000,000 lying around so, do they really need the extra money?
anyway, the elitist ESL being stopped was the first barrier to block down. don't become complacent if you really want the sport to prosper vs these hungry and disgusting capitalists. but hey... we haven't seen this vitriol whenever racism in the sport has occurred so what's the promise any more activism will happen.

couple things to say:
